ALEX SINK NEW HAMPSHIRE CONCESSION SPEECH

Nashua, New Hampshire

New Hampshire, I know that we didn't place 1st in tonight's contest. I know that we didn't beat Sherrod Brown and John Kerry in percentage. People are going to reflect tonight on the negatives, but what really matters is the positives. We received a little over 75,000 votes. If you don't call that a victory in campaigning, and a victory in GOTV Efforts, and a victory in Spirit, and a Victory for every single family in the state of New Hampshire, then I don't know what you would call it. This wasn't a victory when it comes to politics, but it was a victory for every single single mother, single father, little girl, little boy, and everyone in the state. We showed John Kerry and Sherrod Brown that we are not to be messed around with. Do not underestimate us, and do not underestimate what we can achieve.

We're not giving up. We're not letting the people of Iowa, and New Hampshire down. We're going to take this fight to Nevada, and South Carolina, and North Dakota, and Virginia, and Maine, and California, and every other state in this great union! We're going to win for the Students of America, to allow them to have an affordable education. We're going to win for the Mothers and Fathers of America, so that way they can invest into their family, not into expensive Pre-K. We're going to win for every American and get Medicare for All. And we're going to win for the country, and pass Common Sense Gun Control Laws. We're going to win for you, and we're going to win for us.

Let's not give up. Let's take this spirit. Let's take this energy. Let's take this fight. And let's take it to Nevada folks. Let's win it, for America! God Bless you All!

This shattered the expectations of pundits, this shattered the norms, and this will set the standard. I must thank so many people. First, everyone who volunteered, knocked on doors, made calls, and voted today!

You made the difference, whether you were in Portsmouth, Nashua, Manchester, Derry, or here in Concord. You made this win happen. You turned this small, "also ran" campaign into a national movement. And in the coming days we will bring this campaign to new heights because of you.

I gotta thank Governor Sununu and Representative Edwards who are here tonight! They stood by me from the beginning, because they are problem solvers. They are leaders, we need more leaders. More problem solvers, more listeners, and more mavericks in government. They're the example folks. And they got out there, to campaign for me. I'm humbled by the support.

Don't forget Governor Weld, Baker, Douglas, they were out there in Manchester today making a difference. That 33,000 vote margin, this message, the message we sent to Washington. They helped deliver, and we're gonna see them on the campaign trail. In Nevada, North Dakota, and more.

This gives our campaign so much momentum heading into crucial contests like South Carolina, North Dakota, and Texas. But this race for the nomination is still very early and very close, so we still need to work as hard as ever over the next few weeks, as this early stage will be a make-or-break moment for not just our campaign, but the other candidates as well. Social Security has given Americans from all background the opportunity to be able to sustain themselves and their families. It gives them something that can be a life saver, a life changer, or open a new door to a new success. The President of the United States has to respect this. They have to respect that millions of Americans depend on Social Security. Millions of Americans could have their lives ruined, or severely damaged if Social Security were to be repealed. As Governor of Florida I made it mandatory that Social Security stayed in place. We even made it to where if the US Federal Government repealed Social Security, we would have our own backup. I believe that this wasn't just an accomplishment for Seniors, but for Families, and the state of Florida in a whole.

As your President, I'll make sure that Social Security stays in place. I'll make sure that you are protected, and that you know that the Government is in it for you. As President, I'm going to look out for you, the normal American. Not Large Corporations or Special Interests, but you the American People.
