He will spend the rest of the day meeting with local leaders of the Democratic party, and members of the Native American tribes of the state using his support from Fmr. Senator Dorgan, Fmr. He also issues a rebuttal to Senator Brown's ad "Would you still" and campaigns among the predominantly rural northern parts of the state and attempts to appeal to the Mormon populace and the Veteran community. He will hold a meet and greet and luncheon with supporters in Reno and then appear at UNLV and the University of Nevada.

Nevada GOTV Strategy: Sherrod Brown

After a vigorous week and a half of campaigning in Nevada, the Brown campaign is fighting for a strong finish in the Nevada caucus, hoping to outperform expectations with a strong second place (or first place, if lucky) finish, riding a wave of momentum into the Nevada caucus. Surrogates used frequently was Richard Trumka, Bernie Sanders, Dina Titus, Susie Lee, Raul Grijalva, Tulsi Gabbard, as well as UNITE HERE, a major Nevada labor union. Trumka and other union endorsements spent their time building Sherrod's union coalition in Clark County, while Dina Titus and Susie Lee led the campaign in their respective districts. Raul Grijalva worked towards building Sherrod's latino base, and Gabbard + Sanders made a play to appeal to progressives.

The area focused on most was Clark County, home to most of Democratic caucus voters. With the endorsement of Susie Lee and Dina Titus, they outlined campaign efforts and used their home state advantage to gain a grasp in Clark County. Appeals to seniors, low and middle-income families, and union workers created a strong coalition for Sherrod Brown and it was further focused on in the Nevada caucus. The Brown campaign also focused on expanding a base of support in college students, latinos, and progressives by detailing his immigration and debt-free college plan, as well as pledging to withdraw from Syria and Afghanistan among other policy proposals laid out in the 10-day stretch. With strong focuses on high turnout in Las Vegas and all of Clark County, the Brown campaign is hoping to make a respectable showing in the Nevada caucuses.

ALEX SINK WATCH PARTY, LAS VEGAS

EXCERPT FROM VICTORY SPEECH

Quote

Las Vegas, Nevada

Well Nevada, they say it couldn't be done, but we proved em' wrong, didnt' we? This isn't a victory for me, or my staffers, it's a victory for Us. It's a Victory for Hardworking Families, for Struggling Families, for Seniors, for Children, and for every single American. Nevada went to the polls, and they said that they were ready for a real change. They were ready for a Progressive America in which everyone has Healthcare. In which every student isn't drowned in debt. An America in which Guns stay out of the hands of people who will use them for harm. An America that respects the Internet, and its user. And an America that works for everyone, not just the few!

Not only did we win tonight, but we have made history. The first Woman to win the Nevada Caucus from Florida, and the first Woman who is really devoted to Nevadans. And you know what, come November 3rd, we're going to make history by electing the First Woman President! Nevada you chose a smart solution tonight. A Fighter and a Candidate that is going to stick up to the Republicans and President Romney. A Candidate that is going to deliver for you, the American People! And a Candidate that is going to win, for you, the American People!

Lisa Murkowski Speaks to Supporters About Caucus Results

“Nevada, I know this isn’t the result we hoped for, but this is still very much a race! We kept it close, and I’m proud of the work we’ve done together on this campaign. I want to congratulate Representative Amash on his win tonight, and I look forward to the debate of ideas ahead in this primary. This is far from over, and we will keep working hard in North Dakota, South Carolina, and across this country to send a message that we are through with politics as usual, and ready for a new voice to represent the American people. We have a winning coalition that will push us ahead in this primary, and to the White House. Thank you all for putting your faith and support in me, and this campaign is all of ours to share.”

Phil Scott Victory Speech

(Washington Post March Playing)

The Silver State came through!

(Big Cheer), PHIL PHIL PHIL PHIL PHIL

This is a huge win everyone. I want to thank all the volunteers, and people who went out to caucus. We got a big win tonight, and we have the momentum.

(Cheer)

The pundits on the television said we were wasting our time in Nevada. But we said no. We fought, we hit the road, we drove through the desert, we got our supporters to caucus, we made calls, we knocked on doors, and we fought for this second place finish tonight.

(Cheer)

I want to congratulate Representative Amash on a campaign well-run, and I look forward to an issued focused campaign. Tonight we proved that our message, that we put people before politics. People, not political point scoring must be the goal of our leaders. Citizenship and duty, not scheming and pettiness, must be our goal. We have to get things done for everyone in this country, unite it, not divide it into halves. I believe Nevadans agree, they sent that message tonight.

(Cheer)

Governor Weld, Senator Heller, and Representative Heck helped on the trail tonight. Thank you so much my friends (turns to them) and we did good tonight. We helped get our campaign moving even faster.

(Cheer)

So as we go into North Dakota and South Carolina, we will continue this message and momentum. We're gonna keep this momentum my friends, all the way to the nomination, and yes to the White House! Thank you and God Bless!

AMASH REPSONDS TO FIRST WIN

"Thank you, Governor Sandoval! Hello, everyone, We've made history today! This is our first step towards the White House!"

*Cheers*

"Our campaign has been one of ideas and change. Our dream is an America where the government stays out of people's wallets, people's computers, where their children attend school, and so many other things. When I get to the White House, I won't forget who got me here, it's not the donors behind most of Washington. You, who have stood in lines for hours to vote for me, who have given money so I can keep up with other candidate's with PACs and have spread the word of Liberty to friends families and neighbors. It was you who got me here, and I'll never forget it. Thank you! I'm off to North Dakota, thank you and God bless you, Nevada!"

*Cheers*

Adam:
That's a great question, and farm policy is a place where Phil doesn't mess around. He knows this is the lifeblood of this country. What we need in Washington, is some Midwestern common sense. Governor Scott, we may from all the way over in Vermont, but he's got that common sense. He's going to Washington put family farms before cross state agribusiness, to cut taxes for struggling farmers, and make sure farm subsidies are going to help family farmers, not driving them out of business. Nobody in this race is as strong as Phil Scott on farm issues. Vermont is a farm state too,  Phil works with farmers every day, and this I know, he'll make a top priority as President, so I ask you all here to trust Phil on this issue, cause he lives farms, and he's gonna fight for us in the White House.

Phil:
Well, thank you Adam. And Adam speaks to a really important issue, the farm subsidies we give out. We need to reexamine where they are going, are they lining the pockets of CEOs driving family farmers, local small businesses out, or are they making things easier for those small businesses. That's a priority of mine.

RICK SANTORUM SPEAKS AFTER NEVADA RESULTS

"Thank you Nevada! This wasn't a win, but we still had a great night here!

Thanks to all of you, the hours of time you poured into the race, the calls you made, the doors you knocked, and the votes cast, we outperformed and almost won. Don't be discouraged by this one result. We will win in the future, and together we will go on to do incredible things. Thank you again Nevada! God Bless!"
