I don't care.  True progressive know that Pelosi is a status quo, establishment shill.  It isn't heroic to fight against Trump when you have the media lauding every rebuff.  I would consider it brave for Pelosi to work with the President, and actually accomplish some progressive policies.  It's not like Democrats can't accomplish enormous goals with this President.  He's not exactly the type of politician that toes the party line: criminal justice reform, Syria, North Korea, TPP, infrastructure spending, paid leave, women in STEM, DACA, etc.

I could envision a number of liberal executive decisions that could give Trump an edge in 2020.  That's what really matters here.  Would you really approve of Nancy Pelosi if it results in a Trump victory in 2020?  I imagine that's the real determining factor.

Thereís absolutely zero chance that a Trump entirely abandons the GOP platform for a truly liberal reform. Most of the examples you gave donít make sense: the criminal justice reform bill was bipartisan (he was still ďtoeing the party lineĒ), he was the one who destroyed DACA and is currently not going nearly far enough to reinstate it for the tastes of most Democrats (many Republicans are to his left on this issue), as far as Iím aware he has never given a serious indication that he remotely cares about implementing paid family leave, and Democrats do not care for his foreign policy even if it isnít traditionally conservative (that doesnít make it progressive).

Strongly approve. Her move to cancel the SOTU if the #TrumpShutdown doesn't end is brilliant.

Any Republican looking to become Speaker should bring paper and pencil, go to a classroom, find themselves a desk, and learn from her.

This. She's awesome.
