Democrats are very wary of pro-life people these days. Do you think pro-life activists should be monitored or punished?

anyway, anti-abortion activists have a fairly significant body count -- the mass shooting in colorado springs, the tiller murder, lord knows how many arsons and bombings and other acts of violence, to say nothing of the routine death threats. they should be monitored like any other major domestic terror threat.

It depends on what tactics these "pro-lifers" use.

If they attempt to pass legislation outlawing abortion outright, or if they use threats of unlawful harm/violence against real human beings, then I would condemn that.

On the other hand, if they use educational outreach and/or socio-economic incentives to encourage people not to abort their fetuses, then I would welcome that.

Obviously groups that actually use, or discuss using, or threaten to use, violence should be monitored and cracked down on with the full force of the law, but that shouldn't extend to all pro-life groups any more than monitoring and cracking down on terrorist cells should extend to all Muslim communities (normal, sane, not a fascist).
