Just like Pelosi, she has an advantage due to being from Cali. I dont think any of the candidates can muddy her up, unlike Booker, who was supposed to be in her shoes.

However, most black voters have no interest in the wall. That other Dem continuencies hold dear. She has to balance that.

Here in Georgia with a bunch of organizers and party people on my social media (more of them white than black I might add) and this announcement by far has gotten the biggest and most fervent reaction. She’s sweeping the South.

Same story in CA — word I’m getting is that her organizer and donor support here is nearly unanimous. And CA + the South + black support elsewhere is the nomination.

Couple problems:
1.CA is going to be heavily contested by everyone. She isnt likely to get a simple majority there.
2. The Black vote will be divided between other candidates like Booker, Biden, and Sanders
3. The South is only influential if she can get crazy margins out of it like Clinton/Obama did. See point 2 on how this would be difficult.

That plan, IMO, is highly risky, and requires no mistakes or losses for the Harris campaign.

Blacks have galvanized behind Harris rather than Booker due to Oprah and Michelle and Kamala having so much in common.  Kamala had been going on the view and has a cordial relationship with Walters, Whoopi, Oprah and Michelle

I think Kamala has united Black support, there's no reason for Booker to run.

The speech has concluded. I swear to God this woman is going to win it all.

If she does, then we're gonna have another four years of Donald Trump.  Fortunately, I doubt she'll be the nominee.  Of course, it wouldn't be the first time Democrats blew a presidential election against Donald Trump by nominating a horrible candidate.
Harris has some flaws, but to say she is an outright horrible candidate is ridiculous. I'm giving all the candidates a chance, but you can't make all these judgments this early in the race.

She'd get killed in the Midwest and a Democrat who can't win Michigan can't beat Trump.

Minorities make up 8% of the vote in MI, WI, PA. The only state she will trouble with is OH. Dems can win IA.  The Midwest, margin of victory are in DTW, CHICAGO and Pitts

She'd lose Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, and get steamrolled in Ohio.  I think Harris would win Pennsylvania though (because most Democrats would likely beat Trump by somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-12% there; PA was one of the epicenters of the wave in 2018 which was basically a high Democratic turnout vs. high Trumpist turnout election).

Obama is the same skin color as Harris and he won, plus she is beating Trump in polls

Does Abrams sudden interest indicate that some politicos think that Kamala's campaign and numbers are weaker than expected?  And I'm not saying this is the case... I'm genuinely wondering is this may be the case?

(granted although I actually think Abrams is a better politician & comes across as more authentic than Kamala & connects with voters better than Kamala... but having not yet been elected to (Senate/Congress/Governor/Cabinet/Big City Mayor) - her path in 2020 is that of Senator... which I think she can win)

Well, with Messam running and Gillum possibly running too, she might as well at this rate. I'd prefer that she runs for the Senate though and not let her ambition get the better of her.

Biden teases Dems about a Senate and doesnt follow through
Abrams or Gillum arent gonna get very far as long as Harris is in the race. They bothlost gubernatorial bifs.

Kamala is another Wall Street puppet, her and the psychopathic swine Booker went begging for executives support a few weeks back. The party of FDR is now the party of Coolidge.

Harris will be much better than Trump.

Harris is a nothingburger. She’s going nowhere

Dems are likely to win 2020, anyways. All of the candidates will govern like Obama did. It really doesnt matter if its Harris, Biden or Beto. As long as, Sanders, to some, cant win due to being a socialist, doesn't win.

She is far more progressive than Biden, who suported Clarence Thomas to SCOTUS. Biden didnt do much but fundrfundraising as Veep.

Harris candidacy isnt over. Sanders is on the downside.  As there hasnt been one debate. As Booker, should he fail, and Warren will support Harris

Kamala says candidate Bernie was favored over her, due to his appearance in 2016; however, as Super Tuesday approaches, she will start winning

Biden's coalition is vastly different from Kamala's core voter base. Old baby boomers are crazy about Joe Biden's run, it's the Obama coalition of 2008 that's made up of young people and minorities who are enthusiastic of Kamala candidacy.

I was referring to Obama coalition, that Bernie and Beto lacks, minority voters, Blacks account for 50% of primary vote in Deep Southern states

She doesn't add much to the ticket as VP.

LOL

It depends on who the nominee is. If it's Sanders, it adds minority appeal.

Harris isnt running with Sanders

Harris is a 2 year Senator. She doesnt have enough yrs in, in the Senate, yet to be prez. Obama, was the only exception. The same can be said about Beto

You like Sanders now?

Sanders has proven doubters wrong, and Dems had they anti-Sanders candidate in 2016, Hilary still lost.

I disagree with both of those points. But if you're supporting him now, more power to you.

You may think Joe is savior, I dont, he invaded women's personal space and women are supposed to forget about it, just because he roles out his campaign?

Females are watching Joe. As far as Beto is concerned, he's done

She's losing in SC,IA and NH due to WWC voters and SC is a must win for her.

Biden, past will come back up, with sexual invasion. Bernie is sitting in the middle
