I think you're right in regards to Iowa and Arizona both left of Florida.

Dems, regardless of nominee, will win NC before they win IA.

Quite similar to 2012. Biden's a good match for FL, i believe. NC votes less than 1% for Trump. OH votes by 2 or 3 for Trump. GA as well.

Biden wins by re-taking PA, MI, and WI plus potentially AZ. Trump wins NC, IA, FL, and GA.

The OP map is pretty good.  And I think IA really comes into play with the ongoing tariff issue.

.....but it's happened multiple times in this century.

.....but it's happened multiple times in this century.

2016 ushered in a subtle but lasting realignment.  In national elections, the cities and suburbs are now Democrats' strongholds, while rural areas are Republicans'.  Iowa is a rural state, getting older and older every year.  Iowa's Congressional districts may remain competitive for a while yet, but Democrats aren't going to win the state's electoral votes for decades to come.

Well it's a plausible map. I would just leave NH in grey as well, and i can certainly see it happen. I still believe though that Biden is a strong candidate for Florida, and potentially for WI, MI so this would involve him not doing as well among non-college educated whites and Trump overperforming once again, but it's possible.
