It’s a waste of time and resources. I saw nothing about competing in states with high black and brown working class populations that would flip decades before these other states. Bernie is a megalomaniac who has learned nothing in the past three years. He still thinks he is the poor white Republican whisperer.
Yes, Sanders's pollster is a complete idiot and utterly delusional

Anyway, here's a quote from Barack Obama's 2008 Campaign Manager, David Plouffe:

Guys he's not actually going to campaign in Oklahoma in the general election campaign. Talking about a "50 state strategy" is mostly just a platitude.

Bernie is a sexist, through and through.

He’s only been announced for less than six hours and already killed two strong women’s campaigns. Shame on him. So entitled.

Bernie's people actually think he can compete in WV!!! If only IceSpear was here to react to this.

This map will come to fruition

Okay that’s ridiculous. I’ll must admit.... I am as big of an Ojeda fanboy as anyone else but the country is too polarized for him to win WV. IA yes and on a good night he could carry OH but even that is stretching it.

That was with a Mormon third party spoiler on the ballot so there was some actual logic behind the move.

How is this any different from a 50-state strategy?

Bernie's time was 2016.

His time has passed.

Time to turn over the reigns to the new generation.

He's something like Thomas Dewey.  His best year was 1948 and he lost, whereas Bernie's best hope was 2016, and he lost.

The point is that the article mentioning nothing about a 50 state strategy and only stated that they were making a play for a specific set of Republican states.

It seems to me they were talking about utilizing volunteers in all 50 states through phone banks. And the states that were mentioned as far as actual money were legitimately competitive and Obama won IN. What Bernie’s people are suggesting is pure lunacy.

Well Obama won IN and ND was within single digits. Quite different from Bernie’s strategist thinking they can compete in WV and OK
Yes, after massive investment from the Obama campaign. People easily forget that 2008 was rather close before October of 2008. Imagine you were a Clinton supporter in 2008 and Obama's campaign manager told you that Obama was going to dump millions into a state that Bush won by 20 points. Sounds like madness, no?

Even more interesting is that Sanders's pollster and Plouffe cited the same states:

Do you realize how disingenuous the argument you’re trying to make is? Or do you actually believe it yourself? When they say we should compete in more places due to Bernie’s unique appeal, do you actually expect Bernie to spend the last week of the campaign in Oklahoma or something?

The establishment faction of the Dem party is so used to losing so they'd rather just shrug their shoulders and write off half the country summed up in a new inspiring message to a generation of younger voters seeking a new political philosophy: "Don't try"

It just says "some in the Sanders camp." And mostly referring to Iowa and Ohio.

Its a big stretch to go from that to believing that Sanders will be in Oklahoma in October 2020.

It wouldn't at all surprise me if he did that. For Oklahoma to even be on a list of targets is delusional itself.

So they said what they said but didn't really mean what they said? Glad you are clairvoyant enough to see the backstage three dimensional chess. For such Republican states to even be mentioned as targets is ridiculous.

I'd be more concerned if it was Sanders himself who said that instead of some random anonymous staffers.

I don't need to agree with a candidate on every issue to support them. And that was 2 years ago.

That feeling when Bernie is going to be President and there's nothing shitlibs and the alt-right can do about it.

Lol good luck with that. Sanders will drop out after losing NH.

Rep. Kendra Horn is from the sort of place that Sanders doesn't want to compete in, which is a suburban area. The conjecture and speculation is getting even more ridiculous. Now the article supposedly said Bernie is targeting Oklahoma because of Rep. Kendra Horn. If that's what you saw in the article, then that is what you saw. Some people's minds see differently.
