“Socialist Berne Sanders raised $6 MILLION in 24 HOURS. Now I’m calling on you to CRUSH that number,” Trump's campaign texted recipients, noting that any donation would be tripled.

It's certainly interesting that most of the donut contingent on Atlas are:

*non-Democrats
*Those who have just crossed over to the Democrats
*Literal ex-Republicans

It's also interesting that almost everyone who talks about Sanders not being a Democrat seem to selectively ignore Michael Bloomberg, who only joined the party last year and has been supporting Republicans in competitive downballot races as recently as last November. Conveniently, Bloomberg happens to have followed a similar path to them and is more similar ideologically.

It's also worth noting that I've noticed much more vitriol from the anti-Sanders crowd (see: Hagrid's flippant "k" in response to me opening up about my mental health issues) than I have from the Bernie Bros. I have disagreements with some of them about Gabbard (because of her PAC's support of conservative Democrats in primaries) and they seem to be able to be civil in their disagreements with me.
To be fair to the forum neolibs/corporatists/Kamala cult (one and the same with the curious exception of Blairite), Bloomberg isn't polling high at all.

Well, Klobuchar has a much lesser chance of becoming the nominee than Bernie, so endorsed for the time being. As for people complaining about their favourite candidates getting attacked: learn to deal with it, it's a primary, us Sanders supporters have been plenty criticised as well.

The subset of Sanders supporters I'd call BernieBros stand out in that they spend most of their time viciously attacking his primary opponents rather than say positive things about their own candidate. This undercuts opposition to Trump.

------------------------

This thread is more of a s***fest than I had even anticipated and then my expectations were already pretty low.

As of now, it definitely feels like the users spending all their time just tearing down Sanders seriously outweigh the others. Most of it would sound like trolling for how irrational (Russian asset Bernie) or aggressive (atheist socialist Jew) the tone of the posts are nowadays.

In effect, Sanders has just hired the first Muslim-American Presidential campaign manager.

His white working class support will now skyrocket from this populist pick.

You criticise him for doing too much to appeal to the WWC.

Now you're criticising him for picking a Muslim campaign manager.

You people will literally criticise him over every single thing he does.

bernard did plenty of wrong. first of all...hes trying to act all relevant by talking  about issues and such. as we all know...nobody must question the party apparatus by promising anything different that did not test good with focus groups that predicted a hillary landslide in 2016 (until russia, comey, emails). Harris has spent years training for this election and Sanders has digscraced himself by being authentic and chit and must immediately scede ground to Harris and her acting coach

Sorry for the offtopic, but has this video been discussed in 2016? Something very similar to Dennis Rodman about DPRK (though maybe Bernie criticized USSR in a full video)

There appears to be a very loud yet tiny minority on the left that regurgitates neoliberal media talking points, they seem to have a strong presence on this board, but ultimately I believe sanders will sweep this primary in a trumpian fashion.

It truly baffles me how Bernie bros will ignore all polls and facts all to protect their dear Saint Bernard. Bernie's path involves winning narrowly in a split primary, he will not be dominating and I think you know that, lol.

Bernie's biggest problem and the reason it's difficult to compare his hypothetical path to victory to Trump's in 2016 is that there are no WTA Democratic primaries.  The fact that everything's proportional makes it a lot more likely that there will be several rounds at the convention, and superdelegates will be able to vote in every round except for the first.  And we know that they won't be in Bernie's corner.

The reality is that there are many Democrats who would consider voting for Sanders, but for whom he’s possibly not their first choice. It’s just that the small minority of his supporters who think he’s perfect and the “Democrats” who think he’s the antichrist who are the most vocal and get the most attention. Outside of US Election Atlas Forum dot org, a lot of Democrats have more generally but not overwhelmingly positive views of him.

No, I mean every other poll where he trails Biden (who hasn't even announced) by 10 points.

Are you willing to bet that Biden does better in the primaries than Bernie? Because I would definitely bet against that.

Not necessarily, I think the polls will narrow eventually as both Biden and Bernie lose support to other candidates, but suggesting Bernie could win in a "Trumpian fashion" is obviously not possible. If I had a gun to my head, I would say Biden performs better, though.

Good on Bernie for standing against dictators. Shame most of the responses are deranged tankie maniacs who are now calling Bernie a pawn of Dick Cheney. Socialist apologism for Maduro is disgusting.

Some of my true leftist friends were horrified when I tried to tell them Bernie's foreign policy is basically just a slightly revised version of Clinton's foreign policy. This is what it looks like when he tells them that instead of me.

Not sure why they would be surprised. Sanders is pretty much standard on foreign policy and doesn't even really discuss it for the most part.
