I urge the House to oppose it.

If this was part of the constitution when I was active, I would have targeted senators by moving en masse new people into their new region and then started a recall initiative.

Seriously, elections are held every four month. Passing that would create anarchy.

I'll oppose this bill if it comes to a vote. Like windjammer said, we have defined terms for a reason. If someone needs to be removed they can resign or be expelled by the Senate at-large, as I see it.

I also oppose this amendment for the reason Windjammer gave. While one may be tempted to support an amendment like this in the name of regional rights, it would actually end up undermining the integrity of the regions since it would only incentivize party machines to move people around who have no sense of care or attachment to their regions in order to gain power for their parties.

I strongly support this amendment. It is time to make senators fully accountable to the people allowing citizens to recall ineffective and inactive senators from office early.

Name me a situation where this would be used as opposed to expulsion, censorship, or losing the office due to inactivity (as proposed in another amendment)?

It is possible to game an activity standard to avoid expulsion/removal from office, or to rely on legal loopholes to circumvent such as Bacon King did several times.

Having a process like this ensures that people can still take action and remove a Senator who is doing just enough to avoid removal but little else (phoning it in basically).

Though frankly most of Congress operates on a basis of phoning it these days comparatively speaking.

That moment when you remember Labor desensitized Atlasia to strategic registration, a practice that was frowned upon and was something that if you did it, you kept it hush as much as one would asking someone to change their vote or some other actions that have since been criminalized.

When *I* desensitized Atlasia to strategic registration. Glad to have had a such positive impact!

I oppose this amendment because not only will it destabilize the game, it will encourage those with personal grudges to try to recall their Senators and we can all agree this is not good for the game. We already have methods in place to unseat Senators who don't do their jobs. Let's not complicate things further.
