Had he pulled a Pat Quinn but actually won the ag primary, would he have beaten Ellison? I would say yes, Ellison plurality won against a pretty awful opponent, I think TPaw could have squeaked out 48-47. Thoughts?

Tim Pawlenty and "winning" (or any synonym for it) don't belong in the same sentence.

#populist Franken Trump voters in the iron range support Ellison's beating but a few were appealed to by Wardlow but would never support RINO TPAW.

No. He might've even done worse than Wardlow who was terrible but largely unknown. Pawlenty was already a known unpopular quantity amongst many.

I think Jeff Johnson would win in the MN AG race.

No, base turnout collapses dramatically in western Minnesota (the Peterson district) and Pawlenty's improvements in the suburbs can only make up for it so much, making him lose by about 2.

I met Tim Pawlenty once, and the picture we took was my FB profile picture for years. Pretty sad. Very low energy. Then I met Roger Stone and changed it.

Nope. I still maintain that Tim Pawlenty is one of the most overrated politicians in recent history. He only barely won two gubernatorial contests, but everyone thinks he's a complete god. His loss in the 2018 gubernatorial primary proved that to me.
