Great speech and great logo! Number 3 on my list.

Hope she goes far!

As a Minnesotan, I'm really amused by the reactions to the speech being outdoors. Like... the weather she had isn't all that weird for this time of year.  This isn't disastrous weather; this is just Sunday Grin

Anyway, automatically endorsed for affiliative reasons.

Yeah, those who are bitching that it was a mistake to hold the announcement outdoors are just looking for something to bitch about. The snow made the event more memorable and it was not that cold.

FWIW I support her for as long as she is viable but the nomination is probably a long shot.

She's also currently my #3 on my list (behind Warren and Harris). Obviously everything is fluid and can change given events an when we eventually get to debates.

I thought Democrats would like a strong tough woman. I guess not, just because she's yelled at a few people.

An excellent speech...and I am a Republican.
I think she is going to be a contender and the Democrats shouldn't underestimate her.

Not surprised to hear that from the party of abusive employers.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Was Steve Jobs as a Republican, because he was verbally abusive.

Just got back from the announcement. Amazing speeches from all around, really. I was surprised with how energetic Tina Smith sounded, I assumed she would be pretty boring but she proved me wrong. Governor Walz was also more charismatic than I expected, pretty funny too. I think the best speech though was from Peggy Flanagan. She's going places.

Anyway, Amy's speech itself was great too. Talked a lot about fighting for the working class and rural areas. Key issues were restoring civility in the White House, election reform (overturning Citizens United and automatic voter registration were the big ones) climate change, criminal justice reform, immigration issues, and surprisingly a lot about digital issues. She mentioned the mistreatment from big tech companies and a promise to connect everybody to the Internet by 2022 (interesting goal).

Also the campaign announcement had surprisingly good turnout. I couldn't really see Amy unfortunately because I was towards the back with a big crowd outside, not to mention everybody was holding up their free "Amy for America" signs. The sound was good though so I could hear everything with 100% clarity so at least I was able to hear okay.

Finally, Minnesota doesn't care about the cold y'all. It wasn't a big deal that she held it outside.

Yes, his tweet said global warming is false, and no, it isn't. Despite the fact that climate change is creating more extreme weather patterns, the general trend across the entire globe is a concerningly rapid warming one. Climate change is a better term though.

100% this - her supporters should be ashamed of themselves. Have no moral credibility to attack Trump.

I still don't see what her path to winning the primary is.  Even if she locks up the moderate wing of the party, how does she make inroads with the progressives when there's Gillibrand and Warren, or with the pluralists when there's Castro and Booker?  She can't win with just the votes of moderate centrists alone.  Is she just angling for a veep nomination, or a future cabinet position?  Is there particular issue she plans to publicize?  What's going on?

That's because the Southern States were what the Democrats had to crack in order to win in the past.

The Midwest is the critical region now, and the Democrats need to run the table.  MN is soft D.  Klobuchar helps shore this up.

Klobuchar is one of the Democrats I'd consider voting for.  I haven't decided to vote for Trump yet, and Klobuchar is a grown-up who could actually do the job.  I would certainly prefer her to Warren, Harris, and Booker, not to mention some others who are simply not going to be able to win (e. g. Castro).

I think she'll be my candidate. She's level-headed, experienced, and no BS. We need this now more than ever.

Let's make it happen, folks.

Welp, I'm in love, changing my signature in support of her candidacy. She has the charisma, very strong electability and midwestern charm, plus it seems she would be the candidate I would agree on most issues. The snow was just too populist for the beach snobs here it seems.

The high staff turnover makes me worry a bit, but I'm open to hearing more from Klobuchar and seriously considering voting for her.

Yes because this woman who yelled at some people is just as bad as the guy who has at least 19 accusations of sexual harassment, assault, and/or rape, and has bragged about doing as such on tape.

Klobuchar's exceptionally tough to work for, and that's not great. While it's not great, it's nowhere near equivalent to Trump's misconduct, some of which may be literally criminal.
