It would be even worse it was still happening. Just look at the sort of things that were rammed through without opposition because "StOp ThE CoMmUnIsTs!!!!!!!111"

Actually, they replaced it with "stop the drugs/crime/undisciplined kids/teen smokers/school shooters ", and that in turn was replaced with "stop the terrorists!", which in turn has been replaced with "stop the teen vapers!"
