Why? Why should this matter? Citizen engagement matters a lot and is important, but it should not substitute for engagement by the members themselves in the debate threads.

We're already having a debate - just hopefully this debate continues here, which seeing that the main person arguing with you serves in this body, should in theory happen. Sponsor advocacy kickstarts debate but debate has arguably been kickstarted already so formal advocacy is a lower priority here.

I can sponsor, but I don't think that we need to have a sponsor? Iirc when a bill comes back to the originating place with amendment we just vote.

FYI, If the vote ends on a Wednesday, then it would be sent to the regions the immediate following weekend. If the vote ends on a Thursday then it would be voted on by the people the weekend after that.
