If Trump wins in 2022, Toomey is done. If Trump loses, he'll most likely eke out a third narrow win. I have no idea if Lamb will run.

Like someone said above, Toomey probably isn't running again in 2022. I think Lamb and Fetterman will likely run for the seat. I see Shapiro more as running for governor. Some people have mentioned Wolf as possibly running for Senate, but I don't see that happening.

The Republicans should nominate Fitzparick, if he's still around. He has the ability to win over the suburban voters that Toomey won.

Why should one believe Timmy isn't running again in 2022? He's practically a baby by senatorial standards.

I've seen Senators retire from their seats before their sixtieth birthday: Tom Eagleton, Jack Danforth, and Don Nickles come to mind.

I don't think Lamb will run for the Senate. It's likely he will stay in the House for a long while. Some nobody is more likely going to run against Toomey.

Hes a huge supporter of term limits and has repeatedly tried to push a 2 term limit for senators. Basically, people believe he will pull a Bob Corker, and that he will practice what he preaches.

All way too early to say.

Keep in mind too that Lamb still represents a district that leans Republican. So he would probably need to win reelection to make any Senate run viable.

Not if this past election cycle is anything to go by. Rothfus was obliterated by double digits and both Casey and Wolf carried the district by hefty margins.

I think this board is really selling Conor short here. I honestly thinks he’s charismatic and likable enough to win in 2022 even if a dem was president

Republicans are never gonna nominate Fitzpatrick for statewide office. He's too liberal for the base.

Their loss.

Toomey is a weak incumbent who won by the skin of his teeth against flawed opponents in Republican wave years. He almost certainly will attract a higher caliber opponent than a nobody

I'm not sure I would characterize eitber Sestak as a flawed candidate, nor do I think McGinty was particularly flawed rather than being a standard liberal Democrat. I would certainly not characterize 2016 as a Republican wave year.

PA-SEN (Lamb) entirely depends if we have a Democratic President by 2021 or still Trump. I just do not see Lamb giving up his House Seat in a potential Republican Year if Biden, O'Rourke or Harris is POTUS.

The thing is, Shapiro and Fetterman are probably both going to run for the two statewide offices up in 2022. Lamb is probably better off challenging for whatever Shapiro runs for, but would be slightly disfavored in that primary.
