For reference, for the last 5 presidents this would be (guessing from 1988):

1. Sitting Vice President
2. Governor of Arkansas
3. Failed congressional candidate, son of sitting VP
4. Harvard Law school student
5. Real estate mogul

For the 5 before that (guessing from 1962):

1. Sitting Vice President
2. Former vice president
3. U.S. representative
4. Peanut farmer
5. Actor

Mike Huckabee

Didnt Reagan retire from Hollywood by 1962, because by then wasnt he more of a Spokesperson for GE and Grassroots Conservative Groups.

This is a fun exercise! Here's some more (sorry some of them overlap a bit with your numbers).

Current occupation of next 5 presidents in March 1979:

1. Former Governor of California, odds on favorite for 1980 GOP nomination despite not yet having declared his candidacy
2. Director of Council on Foreign Relations, former CIA Director
3. Governor of Arkansas (youngest governor in the country at 32 years old)
4. Failed Congressional candidate, son of a former CIA Director
5. Senior at Punahou School, a private prep school in Honolulu

Current occupation of next 5 presidents in March 1959:

1. Junior Senator from Massachusetts who delivered the nominating speech at the 1956 DNC
2. Senate Majority leader
3. Sitting Vice President
4. Congressman from Michigan (Just reelect to his sixth term)
5. Successful Georgia peanut farmer and Naval Reserve officer

Current Occupation of next 5 presidents in March 1939:

1. Sitting President (at this point had not indicated that he would run for a third term)
2. Junior Senator from Missouri, known stooge of Kansas City democratic party boss Tom Pendergast
3. Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army, currently stationed in the Philippines
4. Junior at Harvard College, son of the Ambassador to the United Kingdom (and a notorious "businessman")
5. Congressman from Texas (Just elected to his first full term after winning a special election in 1937)

Current Occupation of the next 5 presidents in March 1919:

1. Junior Senator from Ohio, Chairman & Keynote Speaker at 1916 RNC
2. Governor of Massachusetts (just elected the previous November)
3. Director of the American Relief Administration (which provided food aid to Europe after WWI)
4. Assistant Secretary of the Navy
5. Captain in the US army, recently returned WWI veteran

...

And just for fun the next 5 presidents in March 1999, with the last two being the most common picks in this thread:

1. Governor of Texas, son of a former president
2. Illinois State Senator (recently elected to his second term)
3. New York real estate developer, owner of Miss Universe & Miss USA beauty pageants, recurring WWE host/character
4. Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County, California
5. Sophomore at Yale University

I can predict the next couple presidential elections but not the next five presidents.

2020: Donald Trump (R-NY)/Mike Pence (R-IN) defeats
Bernie Sanders (D-VT)/Kamala Harris (D-CA)
2024: Ted Cruz (R-TX)/Ron DeSantis (R-FL) defeats
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)/Jared Polis (D-CO)
2028: Ted Cruz (R-TX)/Ron DeSantis (R-FL) defeats
Gavin Newsom (D-CA)/Andrew Gilum (D-FL)
2032: Unknown Democrat/Unkown Democrat defeats
Ron DeSantis (R-FL)/Unknown Republican

No party in this age is holding the White House for 4 straight terms.

I’ll only predict 2:

Kamala Harris and Ron DeSantis

Predicting any more than two out is a fool’s errand since said people probably aren’t even holding a major office rn
It's interesting to consider what it would have looked like if someone had guessed accurately in the past.

Looking at the next five Presidents circa March 1963.
Vice President Johnson
Former Vice President Richard Nixon
Congressman Gerald Ford (Chair of the Republican House Conference) So far it all makes sense.
Georgia State Senator Jimmy Carter
Actor Ronald Reagan

The next five Presidents circa March 1983
Vice President George HW Bush
Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas (who returned to office after losing reelection in 1980)
The Vice President's oldest son; a failed congressional candidate in 1978
A biracial BA Student in Columbia University
New York real estate developer Donald Trump

Still going to make a guess...
Joe Biden
Kamala Harris
Donald Trump Jr
Democrat elected to Congress in '18 wave: Alexandria Ocasia-Cortez is probably the likeliest of the group just due to name recognition and youth.

AOC would almost surely be 2028 nominee vs. Pence if establishment Democrats still haven't broken through after 3 terms.

Beto will almost surely be old news 10 years from now if he's not already the VP.  He needs to either win outright or get VP in 2020, or win TX-GOV in 2022 and then win outright in 2024.

First of all if that is the case, we better get ready for 8 years of President Pence. Second of all Alexandria Ocasio Cortez will be old news by 2028. She'll probably run in 2024 and lose the nomination or get crushed in the General Election.

No party in this age is holding the White House for 4 straight terms.

Now that I think of it, Newsom could beat Ted Cruz because by then republicans would have had the White House for 12 years. Plus Newsom is not as extreme as someone like Alexandria Ocasio Cortez but he does have improve policy on immigration.

I think that 2028 is a bit early for AOC to win the Democratic nomination, as she will only be in her late 30s by then.

2020: Donald J. Trump / Mike Pence defeats Joe Biden / Kamala Harris

Harris turns out to be a terrible pick who make more gaffes than Biden himself. Biden is gaffe-prone but people like Uncle Joe. Donald Trump however manages to eek out another surprise victory after a very dirty campaign, and lots of corruption scandals that leak out in the Biden family, while Harris proves to be very unpopular in the Mid West. Trump's impressive victory causes James to win the senate seat from Peters while Jones loses as well . Democrats however win in AZ and CO by relatively large margins.

ME R+0.5
FL R+1

WI R+2
MI R+3

2024: Ron De Santis / Elise Stefanik defeats Pete Buttigieg / Catherine Cortez Masto

Hispanics trending R as a group while increasing turn-out and an increase in left-wing hispanic populist support. Pence announces but loses against promising young governor Ron De Santis who campaigns for a tough immigration policy while recognizing the dangers of climate change and proposing realistic but attainable solutions for it. He moderates his message, wins the primary from the right-wing challenger Pence.

On the Democratic side, Harris announces her candidacy, proven to be a front-runner who quickly loses traction. Booker becomes a leader, while Buttigieg profits from his good 2020 primary campaign. Buttigieg wins clearly from Booker and Pressley and choses Cortez Masto as vice presidential candidate. Buttigieg however is being called the new Macron and loses against DeSantis with clear numbers.

Closest states
PA D+3
MI R+1
WI R+1
CO R+1
NM R+3
NV R+7

2028: Gretchen Whitmer / John Kelly defeats Ron De Santis / Elise Stefanik

A recession and GOP fatigue creates good conditions for the Democratic Party in 2028. Whitmer - a succesful governor with lot of media-attention - becomes the front-runner and wins the primary clearly. She chooses senator John Kelly as her vice president to take out De Santis and Stefanik. She turns out to be popular and be charismatic. While a Green party steals votes of her with 5%, Whitmer still is able to overcome DeSantis handily.

2032: Gretchen Whitmer / Ayanna Pressley defeats senator John James / Josh Hawley

2032 is a strong competitive race between a popular president and a popular senator. James creates GOP enthusiasm and offers a decent challenge for Whitmer, but Whitmer holds on because of incumbency advantage and her performance. James get criticized for choosing the wrong time as being the presidential candidate in a very D year. Kelly got replaced after Kelly retires of age, and Pressley becomes the new VP candidate under Whitmer to listen to the left-wing demand. The Greens support the candidacy of Whitmer and Pressley in return.

2036: John James / moderate Republican defeats Ayanna Pressley / Green nominee

James, the most known Republican by right now defeats Pressley who became a very popular VP and who got nicknamed the new Michelle Obama. Pressley announces, wins the D nomination, but loses narrowly to James, who expands his base this time with minorities. In a close race, James win by narrowly carrying Georgia, Pennsyllvania and Michigan by increased GOP turnout among blacks.

2040: Ayanna Pressley / moderate Hispanic defeats John James / moderate Republican

2044: Ayanna Pressley / moderate white defeats John James / moderate Republican

In a contested convention, the Democrats nominate Pressley again. This time she wins against John James narrowly by flipping PA (close race) and GA (natural trend)

2048: John James / hispanic Republican wins against D governor from Texas / I senator from Wisconsin

Pressley's unpopularity doesn't help against populist James and a Hispanic Republican to take back the presidency back. James is on a rampage to win back, and defeats the governor of Texas easily, despite the huge EC disadvantage.

Bernie Sanders is much more likely to be Prez, Dems see thru Biden's corruption now. That's why Bernie is getting closer to Biden and only leads by 6

Bernie and Buttigieg are more likely to be Prez

For reference, for the last 5 presidents this would be (guessing from 1988):

1. Sitting Vice President
2. Governor of Arkansas
3. Failed congressional candidate, son of sitting VP

Just for fun, here's a kinda-sorta fit for "history repeats itself":

2024-2028: Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN)
2028-2036: Governor Jared Henderson (D-AR)*
2036-2044: Governor Mike J. Pence (R-IN)

*All existing governors of Arkanas would be way too old, so let's say hypothetically that the loser of the 2018 gubernatorial election wins in 2022.
