Harris turns out to be a terrible pick who make more gaffes than Biden himself. Biden is gaffe-prone but people like Uncle Joe. Donald Trump however manages to eek out another surprise victory after a very dirty campaign, and lots of corruption scandals that leak out in the Biden family, while Harris proves to be very unpopular in the Mid West. Trump's impressive victory causes James to win the senate seat from Peters while Jones loses as well . Democrats however win in AZ and CO by relatively large margins.

2024: Ron De Santis / Elise Stefanik defeats Pete Buttigieg / Catherine Cortez Masto

Hispanics trending R as a group while increasing turn-out and an increase in left-wing hispanic populist support. Pence announces but loses against promising young governor Ron De Santis who campaigns for a tough immigration policy while recognizing the dangers of climate change and proposing realistic but attainable solutions for it. He moderates his message, wins the primary from the right-wing challenger Pence.

On the Democratic side, Harris announces her candidacy, proven to be a front-runner who quickly loses traction. Booker becomes a leader, while Buttigieg profits from his good 2020 primary campaign. Buttigieg wins clearly from Booker and Pressley and choses Cortez Masto as vice presidential candidate. Buttigieg however is being called the new Macron and loses against DeSantis with clear numbers.

A recession and GOP fatigue creates good conditions for the Democratic Party in 2028. Whitmer - a succesful governor with lot of media-attention - becomes the front-runner and wins the primary clearly. She chooses senator John Kelly as her vice president to take out De Santis and Stefanik. She turns out to be popular and be charismatic. While a Green party steals votes of her with 5%, Whitmer still is able to overcome DeSantis handily.

2032: Gretchen Whitmer / Ayanna Pressley defeats senator John James / Josh Hawley

2032 is a strong competitive race between a popular president and a popular senator. James creates GOP enthusiasm and offers a decent challenge for Whitmer, but Whitmer holds on because of incumbency advantage and her performance. James get criticized for choosing the wrong time as being the presidential candidate in a very D year. Kelly got replaced after Kelly retires of age, and Pressley becomes the new VP candidate under Whitmer to listen to the left-wing demand. The Greens support the candidacy of Whitmer and Pressley in return.

2036: John James / moderate Republican defeats Ayanna Pressley / Green nominee

James, the most known Republican by right now defeats Pressley who became a very popular VP and who got nicknamed the new Michelle Obama. Pressley announces, wins the D nomination, but loses narrowly to James, who expands his base this time with minorities. In a close race, James win by narrowly carrying Georgia, Pennsyllvania and Michigan by increased GOP turnout among blacks.

2040: Ayanna Pressley / moderate Hispanic defeats John James / moderate Republican

2044: Ayanna Pressley / moderate white defeats John James / moderate Republican

In a contested convention, the Democrats nominate Pressley again. This time she wins against John James narrowly by flipping PA (close race) and GA (natural trend)

2048: John James / hispanic Republican wins against D governor from Texas / I senator from Wisconsin

Pressley's unpopularity doesn't help against populist James and a Hispanic Republican to take back the presidency back. James is on a rampage to win back, and defeats the governor of Texas easily, despite the huge EC disadvantage.
