What's your opinion of President Mauricio Macri of Argentina?

He's actually my current favorite right of center international leader. Hope he wins a second term this year. Freedom fighter.

Not as bad a person as Cristina, Duhalde or Menem

Not as pathetically ineffective as De La Rúa and Alfonsín Sr.

Still awfully ineffective and his economic policies have been a total failure

Johnson, how much have you read about the economic situation of Macri and how much worse it has gotten since 2016?

I know that there is still room for improvements, but believe Macri inherited a mess and has mainly pursued the right economic policies, that take time. There is certainly a lot of potential for Argentina, because an educated workforce, infrastructure and natural ressources are there.

Lean HP. No hard feelings, but he has been ineffective. I would vote for him this year if the PJ puts a bad tier candidate this year in the Presidential.

I like my current Peronist Governor (Arcioni), especially after what he did today in expelling all criminal immigrants from my Province.

Seems rather incompetent. At a certain time you can't just get on by blaming the previous incumbent.

A bit too liberal in many ways. Reminds me of an Argentine Jerry Ford.

I wouldn't call supporting the party of a crime and terror family "normal", but ok.

I am a massive fan of Mauricio Macri. Massive FF.

How are they a "crime and terror family"? Aren't they basically the Argentine Christian Democrats?

HP

Both sides of Argentine politics are terrible but at least the Justicialists pretend to care about the poor.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justicialist_Party

The Kirchner family has been the dominant force in that party for most of the century. Nestor until his death, Cristina until she left office.

The party supported Chavez and Maduro during their time in the presidency under the Kirchners.

There are also legitimate concerns about the Kirchners being involved/covering up the Iran/Hezbollah terror attacks against Jewish and Israeli institutions in the 1990s.

Oh I don't like the Kirchners either (they're awful), I would have supported the Federal (dissident) Peronists during Kirchner rule over the Justicialist Party.
