After 8 years of Donald Trump, former Congressman Beto O'Rourke was able to win the presidency in 2024. President O'Rourke started out with a 58% approval rating and went into the Presidency with a Republican Senate and a Democratic House. President O'Rourke accomplished appointing a progressive to replace Justice Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court, strengthing Obamacare, reinstating Net Neutrality, passed a 5 year ban on assault weapons, and he continued to work with Israel and Palestine on getting a two state solution. President O'Rourke's average approval rating during his first term was around 44 - 47%. In 2024 Dan Crenshaw was able to be elected U.S Senator in Texas successfully replacing Ted Cruz as the next senator from Texas. 4 years later Senator Crenshaw was able to win the Republican Nomination for President defeating Senator Mark Green and former Governor Ron DeSantis at a contested convention.

Beto can't compete with a veteran, especially someone who's also charismatic, who's home state is also Texas, and lost an eyeball whilst in service for goodness sake..

Lol @ Republicans winning the Virginia Senate seat in 2020. I'm also surprised that the Dems don't pick up the North Carolina seat in 2022, especially while also taking Florida and Georgia.

This is going to sound like the dumbest criticism of this very cool scenario, but I've always imagined Crenshaw succeeds Abbott while Will Hurd succeeds Cornyn.

O'Rourke has committed to a liberal agenda. This won't end well

O'Rourke/Sinema: 239 EV 47.9%
Crenshaw/Portman: 299 EV 49.9%

The diverse swing States come back as O'Rourke veers too far left, but without a populist presence the GOP struggles in the Rust Belt
