Weld easily.

Of course, given the choice, I would easily vote for the chair I'm sitting on over Trump.

The poll says “Republicans only.”

Anyway, I’d obviously choose Weld and will probably vote for him in 2020.

Trump, because Weld is a left-wing extremist.

Trump.  He has done what he said he'd do, and while I don't agree with all of it, I certainly agree with him on immigration and trade, and he's been faithful on the abortion issue, regardless of his personal beliefs.

Trump, because Weld is a left-wing extremist.

Hot take or dumb one?  I mean sure, he's not a "unreconstructed Southron," but that isn't the litmus test for being a non-left-wing extremist.

Anyway, easily Weld.

Bill Weld is a Republican the same way Zell Miller is a Democrat.

I'm sure he's crushed that he has not gotten the honor of "real Republican" bestowed upon him by a poster on Atlas that isn't even a Republican himself. Wink

Trump, Bill Weld has switched parties for political convenience.

Do you realize what you've written here?

He was Libertarian in 2016, so he could run on their VP ticket. Now he has switched back to the GOP knowing that Bill Kristol and the Never Trump Conservatives will back him in a primary bid. Bill Weld should just retires, neither party wants him

You are saying that you prefer Donald Trump because Bill Weld switched parties for political convenience

You're insinuating that Trump changed parties for political convenience, which clearly isn't true and makes no sense.
why do you think he changed parties then?

Maybe he couldn't decide what set of colors he liked better?

Weld's campaign is even more pathetic than De Blasio's or Swalwell's; at least they made it to a debate stage, Weld is relying almost entirely on left-wing hosts on CNN or MSNBC bringing him on for a couple minutes to bash Trump

There is no debate stage for Weld to make it to. He has only one opponent and that person refuses to debate him. Pretty dumb comparison if you ask me.

I know that, I mean the comparison in that the bottom-tier democratic candidates at least have an opportunity for exposure, while Weld has none

True; I thought you were saying that Weld had somehow failed to make the nonexistent GOP debates. I apologize. (Though I still object to the comparison with Swalwell.)

Trump, Bill Weld has switched parties for political convenience. Also any primary challenge to Trump will go down in flames and ruin that candidate's chance for statewide office (this is why I don't want Hogan to run, instead he should wait until Cardin retires and run for the Senate) Bill Weld  should run a primary challenge, because he will not be able to win statewide elections

Well, I guess I'll bump this

I like how the question says "Republicans ONLY", but the partisan results show only 39 of 87 votes coming from Republicans ...

Weld, even though he's not great. I would much rather have anyone outside the Santorumite and war hawk wings of the party than Trump.

You can’t call yourself a republican and at the same time endorsing Obama
