Lukashenko will definitely hold a free and fair referendum in his country to integrate it into Russia, like the free and fair referendum in Austria back in 1938:

Um, yes. Belarus is a stable, safe country with low income inequality and relatively low corruption compared to Russia. Plus, an entire generation of Byelorussians have grown up in a more-than-nominally independent Belarus and don't exactly wax wistfully over the Soviet days.

It figures; we already had a Sudetenland annexation (Crimea).

The Crimea should be renamed District 1 and Belarus can be district 2. They will need the career tributes for WW3

It's not like it's going to change anything for anyone outside of Belarus, so yeah, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Why would a beautiful country like Belarus want to be absorbed into the gloomy, dystopian nightmare of modern Russia? The Russian nation is a failure with millions living in absolute poverty despite almost unlimited natural resources. Everything Russia produces and sells is garbage. Belarus isn't doing great but it has potential. All that goes out the window if it becomes a part of Russia.

Well, it's not really like the people said they want it... We'll only know if there is a fair referendum, but we already know how that's going to go down.

The only time I’ve ever heard Belarus mentioned in pop culture was South Park. That and the Doctor Phil looking dictator.
