Oh God, that's like choosing between being murdered with a gun, murdered with a knife, or murdered via poison.

With that said, I guess I'd choose Alabama... Birmingham and Montgomery aren't so terrible, even though the rest of the state is absolutely not a place I'd be caught dead living in.

I was thinking Oklahoma at first, but then I realized that outside of Tulsa and OKC, it's probably worse than Alabama.

Thank God for Mississippi! Without it we'd be the worst.

I have, and yeah, Sooner-land is really that terrible.

Oh, and Birmingham is still better than OKC.

In almost any case, I would prefer a major city to a small town or rural area - especially in the Deep South.

The only good city in those 3 states is Huntsville. But, in terms of the state’s overall, I’d have to go with Oklahoma.

Mississippi. I've been to Alabama and disliked it, and Delta blues>Oklahoma country with the exception of Woody Guthrie (although I like both).

Oklahoma, because i love the power of nature and the tornadoes. And also, because it's the least religious of the three. In other words, it's a no-brainer.

Probably OK just because of the humidity of the deep south.

Don't know anything about Montgomery, I would have assumed the same thing about it as Enlightened Centrist, but I think the whole South knows Birmingham's a dump lol (at least that's the reputation, I've never been anywhere in Alabama, or Mississippi, or Oklahoma; the only Deep South states I've been to are Louisiana and Georgia).

From what I hear Tuscaloosa seems to be the nicest town in Alabama, does that sound right to you? At anyrate it seems like it has history, just like Mobile (the first capital of Louisiana, before it was moved to New Orleans in 1718 lol). So are those two nice? And what about Huntsville?

At anyrate I'd assume the state I'd like the most out of these 3 would be Alabama.

Tbh the rural areas in the Deep South are much, much nicer than the rural areas I've seen in New York or Michigan (the two other places I've seen enough of the rural areas to judge). If anything, if there's one place in the country I'd be OK with living in a rural area in it would be the Deep South (the ones in New England may be nice but I've never been to New England).

It's 97% white and the median income there is north of $130,000.

If your drinking and doing the music thing, the Miss Delta easily beats the others.  OKC and Tulsa are superior to any metro in the others.

Also, Lol at the rural deep south being better than NY or Mich.  It's a parade of mutant racist hicks out of Flannery O'Connor story, plus upstate NY is gorgeous.
