AustralianSwingVoter for Frémont

Hello, Greetings and Salutations, people of Frémont. I am indeed running to serve in Parliament to represent you. All of you. Every last one. I have a proven record of pursuing consensus, rather than purist ideological dogma.

So what will I do if elected? I have a few bullet points to sum up my aims. Plus I'll make some speeches during this campaign to further elucidate my positions.
  • Building Consensus
  • Reaching across the aisle
  • Keeping our government active and accountable
  • Common Sense Gun Control
  • Responsible Tax Cuts
  • Building new infrastructure left right and centre
  • Reform, Reform, Reform
  • Make Frémont Roman Again
  • Asking the hard questions
  • Getting stuff done
  • Writing a hell of a lot of bills
  • Pestering whichever poor soul is elected speaker
  • Striking a balance between Serious and Fun
  • Providing some entertainment
  • Bringing some fun to government
  • Being a bit silly, but being deadly serious when needs be
  • Suddenly caring about random things, like the accented é
  • Adding more dot points to this list as I think of them
  • Making it illegal to forget the accented é in Frémont
  • Let's build a battleship
  • Invading Kansas
  • Launching a Coup d'état
  • Alsace Lorraine
  • 2 warm water ports
  • And a transcontinental railway to connect them
  • Reconquering the holy land
  • Hiring a government sanctioned hit on Wulfric
  • TRANSPORTATION SAVES THE NATION THE MARCH OF PROGRESS CANNOT BE STOPPED GET OUT OF MY WAY GREENIE

(Also, I love the Century Gothic font so much. This font is so beautiful.)

Campaign Speech/Long Rambling Essay #1:
On Activity and Reform

We must all recognise that in no uncertain terms Frémont is and always has been the region must vulnerable to downswings, of both activity and interest. It has always been the smallest, least active region. It has always been the region which has crossed the rubicon into governmental collapse. Be it Operation Rimjob and the Final Constitution back in 2013, the Coup d'État against Simfan in 2015, or the Total Collapse of the new Government of Frémont back in 2016, Frémont, and the Pacific before it, has always been a region plagued with inactivity, hijinks and fiascos. However this has led to potential as well. We have always been the most left wing region, the home of the loony left, and this has always proven to be a consistent source of entertainment. We elect madmen, like Coraxion and Matthew, we cannot hold an election without a last minute write-in, our regional politics is messy and violently swings between the doldrums of inactivity and the peaks of frenzied legislation. And we must learn to use this to our advantage. Frémont is a region which never ceases to entertain, and we must learn to use it to our advantage. The Romulus Plan, as introduced by Vice President-elect Lumine, is the perfect example of what we need in our government. Uniqueness and entertainment. We must learn to use the excitement that is our politics to attract new members, and we must make our government the same. The Romulus Plan does just this. It is fun, exciting, unique and allows for all sorts of hijinks. It is exactly what we need out West to keep this great region thriving, and that is why I support the plan, and I hope my fellow parliamentarians shall too. A truly exciting Governmental system is the best way possible for us to continue to attract talent to this region, and I hope you the people agree, and will support this vitally needed Plan.

I hope the rest of Fremont supports this plan too! As an outsider, I think everyone in Atlasia could benefit from a region taking its own functions, and turning them into more engaging versions of themselves. Hopefully this leads to less inactivity, fewer fiascos, and more hijinks Wink

A statement:
On the entry of an opposing candidate

It seems that I shall indeed have a competitor against me this weekend. I am not fazed. I maintain hope that the good people of this great commonwealth will lend their support to me in this endeavour. I welcome my opponent to the race, and I hope the people of this region will think long and hard before making their choice.
