Any culture that punishes or executes people for being gay cannot be allowed to continue its practices in a modern world. Any culture that does such things must reform or face the consequences of their egregious violations of human rights. There is no excuse for being that evil, "culture" or no.

There's a thread in the U.S. General Forum. This looks like a vaporware initiative by the Ambassador to Germany intended to poke a finger in Iran's eye. Iran deserves to be poked in the eye on this, but he has no backing and it's not going to accomplish anything.
