I am so sorry for being IMA. My grandmother was in poor health and because of dealing with all of that my mind mixed up the election dates. I thought it was this weekend. Apparently I got elected, but I feel like I don’t deserve the seat because of my absent. But the good news is my grandmother seems to be doing better. Just keep her in your thoughts.

Real life takes priority over this silly forum game. I think any reasonable person would forgive you for missing this election when you're dealing with something in real life like your grandmother being in poor health.

Not sure if it helps, Vern, but I personally happen to believe your presence sincerely makes the House of Representatives a better and far more responsible place, and I also believe I'm far from being the only one who thinks that.

My grandmother died a couple years ago, and in my pseudo-return to the game, while I realize it can be fun and feel "important," I have treated it with little but irreverence and amusement (i.e. things that are fun to treat stuff with). Obviously I--and anyone other than a teenaged sociopath would think this is obvious--hold no ill will whatsoever to you for having responsible and sane priorities in your life.
