I've mildly disliked, vehemently disliked, hate, been ambivalent, tolerated, liked, and very much appreciated Joe's posting style over the years.  If you can't take his wit then you're a stupid little twit.  Nothing more can be said.

But Josephus is a noun, not an adjective which modifies Republic. If anything Republic is being used as an adjective (with no defined declension) to modify Jesphus.
