This raises my opinion of Harris somewhat actually.

Yeah, this is fine. It's not like President O'Rourke would have ever been able to take them down anyway.

I hadn't watched too many Kamala interviews, I had pictured her as somewhat stiff, but she was incredibly personable in this conversation.

Reminds me of Hillary in 2008.

It's a bad move, politically speaking.

How is this a bad move politically?

It's literally the opposite.

To be fair, Beto already partially backtracked on this issue.

Was this the clarification?

When Beto and Gillibrand said this a couple days ago, most people on this site were shocked, saying they couldn't believe a mainstream Democrat would advocate something so reckless.

Now that the establishment front runner says it, those people are silent and it's mostly people saying "good! This is exactly what I waned!"

More proof. If you're a moderate Democrat, be assured of 2 things 1) any position you find too radical and scary now, will be the Democrats official position in 4 years time 2) you will back it and pretend you never found it radical or scary, because you have no spine

Lol No Democrat supports 19th century-style unrestricted immigration. Gillibrand was caught off guard by a random question and basically gave the type of answer you give to all those questions, which is to say she wanted to do more research into it accounting for the folks most affected. Beto has apparently already backtracked. This is simply not an issue in American politics.

I agree she isnt neo-liberal but neoliberalism really has nothing to do with open borders

Neo-Liberalism is really just an economic philosophy and thats why Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher are considered to be very neoliberal leaders despite being very conservative as well.
