I have to ask, how did they turn out? How many of the prudes voting for those fascist strip club regulations got ousted? I'm rather disgusted that such a liberal city would pass such garbage, so I'm hoping those that voted for it got punished hard. Now hopefully the petition efforts to overturn the law succeed.

And none of the incumbents lost reelection. Furthermore, no one in Seattle gives a  about strip clubs. It was whether to impose an extra tax to finance a proposed monorail system that was a big issue (that failed something like 64 to 36).

Wait a second.  Are you trying to tell us that Seattle voters actually cared about something other than strip clubs?  Those crazies need to resolve their priorities.  Immediately.

The group against the regulations got enough signatures to get it on the ballot sometime in the future, perhaps the next election.

Instead of "really that interested," just type "BRTD."  It's fewer letters.

Almost twice as many signatures as neccesary. You can see that people really do care about this.

All you need to do to get that many signatures is stand in the middle of Pioneer Square and say the Republican Party supports something.

Well in this case, they'd be correct. This made the religious right and their extreme prudery quite happy.

Anyway, you said that if you would oppose the regulations and if you were eligible to vote you would vote for the referendum to overturn them.

Yes, I would.

By the way, the Seattle city council is not religious right.  The religious right has virtually no power in Washington State, and King County especially.  Sorry.
