I think that the President imposing tariffs without Congress is unconstitutional, but I think that enacting tariffs the way that other taxes are enacted should be allowed.

Stupid. (Also, you won't hear any economists say this outside a classroom, but the best welfare outcome for a large country like the US requires a non-zero tariff... look up optimal tariff policy)

Rich countries with tariffs are contributing to the impoverishment of the global working class to the benefit of a small crew of national industrialists and ultimate the national security military industry complex. The only way we're going to ensure peace in perpetuity is to make every world economy is so utterly dependent on one another, a war between nations would be sucidal. And one part of this is to erase all tariffs and trade barriers.
