Describe someone who voted for Ted Cruz in the Republican Primaries for President then voted for Clinton in the general election. Who are they and what were they thinking?

Possibly a tactical voter who thought Cruz was the best chance to stop Trump. Other than that, pretty stupid people.

My mother, she's a registered Republican and since NC is a semi-closed primary state she voted for Cruz, in an attempt to stop Trump from winning the nomination.

My old roommate in Wisconsin. Actually a decent number of people I knew there. Basically a generic Republican who thought Trump was so unacceptable that they decided to vote for Clinton.

I suppose it depends on where you were in the country and you can ALWAYS suspect the truthfulness of politicians ... but Hillary Clinton was not RUNNING as a free trader.

A left winger in an open primary who thought a Cruz nomination would cause the GOP to get crushed against Clinton.

Still, Trump was running on "we need a trade war" and Hillary wasn't.

A staunch never-Trumper who took a calculated risk on Clinton, while voting Republican down-ballot to stop any of her policies from passing in congress.
