Multiply by the exponent and subtract the exponent by 1.

Mr. Swing voter, I have heard promises before regarding the statute pages, including as I was appointing people the position you know hold myself when I was President.

How is this time different and why can we be sure that this time the job will actually get done?

Because I have no life, lot's of free time, and love really boring tasks.

I also support the final vote. If ASV's objection is heard, I motion for cloture.

ASV has no authority to object since he's not a senator IIRC.

Also why would a nominee object to his own vote? Doesn't he want to get started as fast as possible lol?

I would refer the honourable gentleman to my previous statement:

A further statement to the Senate

By the way, I'm holding this hearing hostage until I feel I've had enough questioning. Can I hold this hearing hostage despite not being a Senator? Who cares. Have I eaten too much sugar today? Who cares. So I'd encourage absolutely everyone to ask me more questions, indeed I insist.
And if this hearing ends prematurely, it's coup time! Is the National Archivist launching a coup because he doesn't feel he's been asked enough questions overkill? Maybe. But who cares.
So I do hope both Senators and Citizens have a good many more questions for me.

Statement from the President

I am withdrawing the nomination of AustralianSwingVoter as National Archivist. His confirmation hearing has been a circus and his actions on Discord have displayed a lack of maturity. I no longer trust his ability to lead Wiki reform, an issue that has always been important to me. This evening, I asked him to withdraw his objection to a final vote as I believe his nomination has been sufficiently debated and it is time for the Senate to vote and move on to other issues. He openly refused and said he wanted to keep it open "for the theatrics." He is welcome and encouraged to keep making edits, if he chooses.

In addition, his attacks on Wulfric are borderline harassment and quite frankly disturbing.  My administration will operate a zero tolerance policy on harassment/bullying. On behalf of the administration, I apologize to Wulfric for the attacks that have been made towards him by my nominee.

The position will be vacant and we will look at appointing someone else very soon, possibly reverting to co-Archivists as it was in the past. Please contact me if you are interested in applying.

Quote from: Executive Order 47-009
Executive Order
Rescinding National Archivist Nominee

The nomination of AustralianSwingVoter as National Archivist is withdrawn.

X President Tmthforu94

Well I guess this charade was all for nothing then. Bye!

The President has withdrawn the nomination, these confirmation hearings are closed.

I remind people once again that personal attacks need to stop, and the comments continuously made about Wulfric here are frankly out of line. I'll be doing some editing as Moderator, and I must warn people against repeating it. Don't let it happen again.

A further statement to the Senate

I would apologise to the President, the Vice President and the Senate for wasting all their time with this hearing. I would also additionally apologise to the President for creating a situation where he could no longer put his faith in my ability. This is a most unfortunate situation indeed, and I most certainly take all the blame for it.
