Hi, welcome to a Canada Election Game! This game is based in 2015, with a current NDP Government. Thomas Mulcair of Outremont is the Prime Minister, after Jack Layton died in 2012, a year after becoming Prime Minister.

Here are the political parties and their ideologies:

- The NDP (Left Wing)
- The Liberals (Centre-Left)
- The Conservatives (Right Wing)
- The Greens (Far Left)
- Bloc Quebecois (Left Wing, Quebec only)

There will be candidates for the leadership for each party, and then after a leader is chosen, it will move into General Election time. Before we get started, let's talk about some history, and how the NDP took power.

HISTORY

"Folks, we have history to project. For the first time in Canadian History, there will be an NDP Government. We can now project an NDP Minority Government. Jack Layton is going to be Prime Minister, in a huge upset."

This is historic, Jack Layton has broken the glass window and gave the NDP a Government. This is the current Parliament, which are the results from the 2011 Election:

The NDP (Governing Party): 165 Seats
The Conservatives (Official Opposition): 112 Seats
The Liberals (Opposition, Least Seats): 61 Seats

Jagmeet Singh, MP for Burnaby South
Charlie Angus, MP for Timmins (James Bay)
Niki Ashton, MP for Churchill (Keewatinook) - Elcaspar
Nathan Kullen, MP for Skeena (Bulkey Valley)

The Liberals

Joyce Murray, MP for Vancouver Quadra
Scott Brison, MP for Kings-Hants
Kate McCrimmon, MP for Kanata Carleton

Jim Harris, Author

Bloc Quebecois

This Game will start in February of 2014, and the Leadership Elections will be held in February of 2015. General Elections will occur in October of 2015.

The game will officially begin in a couple days, once there is a good amount of candidates. Good luck, and have fun!
