Did anyone else notice the person who shouted "Yes!" after Bercow announced the confirmatory vote amendment had 268 aye votes (but before he said the noes were 295). Did that person think the amendment had passed or what? Lol

Considering 268 was more votes than any other motion got, including the customs union (and was actually equal to half the number of total votes on the customs union), quite possibly.

"I’m in favour of the deal and I hope the DUP will come over to the deal but we’ll have to wait and see what they do ...

I don’t think the deal’s suddenly got better, simply that the alternative is now worse. It’s not having any Brexit at all and it’s letting down the 17.4m people who voted to leave."-Jacob Rees Mogg, today(or at least this part of today)

Oh come on!!! Pick a position and stick to it, for crying out loud!

He's in danger of being superseded by Mark Francois.

Utterly disgraceful that this is what MPs are basing their votes on as opposed to the national interest, even in a national crisis like this.

Independent Group is now called Change UK. I suppose the party's name is abbreviated to CUK.

Not the name I'd have used...

That means there's the real possibility that Labour will be the only parliamentary without a female leader, depending on how long May holds out for.

That's a really crappy name, but otherwise good news. I'll more than likely be signing up.

If we have Euro elections, I may well vote for them. They're going to be running for London for certain.

Lol, I can tell a certain MP wanted the party named after himself.

It's also a completely laughable take because most Leave voters actually hate the deal and don't want their MP to vote for it.

Only 5 Labour MPs voted for the deal: John Mann, Kevin Barron and Caroline Flint (who all have before) plus Jim Fitzpatrick and Rosie Cooper.  Lexiters Ronnie Campbell and Dennis Skinner abstained; all other Labour MPs voted no, even Gareth Snell.

Meanwhile 34 Tories voted no; six I think are Remainers so that's 28 ERG types who didn't cave.  The DUP voted no as well, of course.

I don’t think there will be another attempt. May’s deal is now completely dead. Even her promise of resigning didnt sway the ERG. Parliament will probably vote for an alternative on Monday. On April 10 there will be a EU council meeting. Most likely May will ask for a longer extension. Which also means the UK will participate in the EU elections in May.

So many questions:

1) How many CUK HOLDs will we see in the next election?

2) If Change UK forms an alliance with the Liberal Democrats, will the alliance members be called Lib Cuks or Cuk Dems?

3) If Soubry, Allen or Wollaston return to the Tories at some point will they be called Cukservatives?

Glad I ditched my C-UK avatar in that case. And I was trying to make a “liberal cuck” joke with it, so...LOL.

If the UK is given a long extension (one year, two years, or even more) then I think Brexit is effectively dead. The negotiations will get nowhere, parliament will agree to nothing, and eventually there will be a second referendum which "Remain" will win, or article 50 is revoked in another way.

Or then it's a no-deal Brexit, but I doubt it.

Britain MUST leave the EU on April 12th. If they have have to be thrown out, then thats absolutely fine with me.

I'm tired of the UK, Brexit, the British government and parliament. JUST LEAVE!

They cannot be thrown out if they revoke article 50...the United Kingdom remaining in the EU is the best possible scenario for everyone involved
