Also, come to think about it, in a way, Tender is pretty much your average European #populist. Hardline on inmigration but centre-left economically. Austria is also landlocked, meaning he almost definitely can't be a coastal elitist, but comes from "Real Europe"

Really depends on the subforum ... on General Discussion - which is currently in a tight race with any 2020 election-related board for the most brain dead place on the forum - you are definitely right.  Forum Community isn't usually too bad.  Off Topic and History are, of course, the two best places on the forum, but they get depressingly little traffic so you have to venture out every once in a while.

Greetings, everyone ! As you know today is Steckeinenschwanzindasarschlochfest, and so I’m just wondering how Americans celebrate this holiday ? Here in Austria we decorate our trees with pieces of rope with loops tied at each end, and most towns will usually build a big wooden crucifix in the town square and light it on fire at the end of the night. The devious imp most associated with the special day is Niki Naki Neger:



Sometimes somebody will dress up as Niki and the townspeople will throw watermelons at him and yell “get out of here Neger !”  It’s often a lot of fun. Hopefully this year my town’s festivities won’t be ruined by an immigrant driving a truck into the crowd, but you never know !
