This is probably the worst era of Presidents by far

My ranking would be

1. James Polk
2. Andrew Jackson
3. Zachary Taylor
4. Martin Van Buren(The 1848 version would have been way way better than the one we had as President)
5. William Henry Harrison
6. Milliard Fillmore
7. John Tyler
8. Franklin Pierce
9. James Buchanan

The big problem with ranking these presidents is the only two who did anything substantial in office (Polk and Jackson) did objectively awful things. The rest did little but twiddle their thumbs or die prematurely. The only two I feel somewhat positively about are Taylor and Van Buren, and even they were, um, problematic.

Yes. That and removing the Cherokee from the south. He was much better as a general than as a president.

Why do you want the south (especially then ) to be its own nation so bad  , as literally all that would have done is preserved  slavery .

How did anything I mention in my post have anything to do with the Confederacy?
Anyway, I support it because it’s my country. I’m a southron and an Alabamian before an American.

John Tyler being number 1, James Buchanan being number 2, opposing how Jackson handled the nullification crises

This list looks about right, though I would switch Fillmore and Tyler. Fillmore supported the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, Tyler at least had some success on foreign policy.

Polk is the only president I have a positive opinion of. Taking California might not have been America's finest hour from a moral standpoint, but I still think it was a good thing overall for the United States.

Fillmore's foreign policy was successful.  He opened up trade with Japan and managed to keep peace with European powers in spite of agitators such as those who attempted to annex Cuba.
