FYI these schools actually get less funding than normal NYC schools.

AOC also dumbly asks why can't every school be like Brooklyn Tech/Stuy. Atleast 80% of the school quality comes from student not teacher/admin quality.

"Elite" means "schools where the students aren't processed like inmates in Rikers Island."

This is an interesting news article that won't benefit from worthwhile discussion on this forum. I'll only say that it's strange that the number of black/Hispanic students has dropped to less than 1% admittance when that wasn't the case just even ten years ago.
These schools are dominated by lower income Asian students.  They have learned the system and worked hard to get in.

Is this some kind of systemic racism?  When one low income minority group outcompetes the others?

The elephant in the room is that Asian families are doing something the black and latino families are not.  Enforcing quotas or lowering thresholds will create division, resentment, and more racism.

Im willing to bet of the 7 black students accepted almost all if not all have Immigrant parents.

Great news, I love merit systems.  There was a time when most liberals did too.

I mean I hardly consider it great that there are less African American students but I do consider the merit system used in NYC a great system that Far leftists like De Blasio want to ruin to go #woke.

Wealthy white liberalism in action

Diversity for thee but not for me
did you miss the part where it's mostly poor Asian and other immigrant kids getting these admission offers?

tbh its closer to the opposite.
Rich white liberals like De Blasio trying to screw over Asians.
