No indictments (if accurate) is good news for Trump, but that doesn't mean he's clear of the potential political fallout of the details within the report itself.

Yeah, nobody was ever indicted in the Clinton email investigation, but that's not really the first thing anybody thinks about when it comes to Comey's reports.

And let's not lose sight of the fact that this investigation has already resulted in quite a few indictments, guilty pleas, and convictions, including Trump's former campaign chairman and national security advisor.  If this was a witch hunt, it found a whole coven.

Yeah indicted in crimes not related with the main focus of investigation. Good luck selling that.

Already hearing how Trump's approvals will go up 5-8% now that this is over from my Trumpy folks

I could see his net approval gap going up by 5% in a temporary bump with a 1-2% shift that will last until the next thing that seriously affects the media or whatever.

And what will you do if this doesn't get Trump reelected? Nevermind, I'm afraid to ask. Lol.

Anticipating the reaction...in the future. Did I really need to explain that?

Assuming it does lead to no new indictments, are we really all that surprised by that?

Even without indictments there could be terrible information in that report. People can do unethical things and still not break the law. The court of public opinion can judge based on anything and that is what Republicans fail to understand. You can't force people to vote for Trump just because he wasn't indicted.

It's nothing new. If you question some things you must be a russian troll or hardcore trump supporter. They hyped Muller report for ages and of course they're in for some hard landing. You can't spin a fact that NOBODY is indicted for Russian collusion.

Isn't it DoJ policy that a sitting President can't be indicted?

How could our trust in someone who promoted Iraqi imminent threat to distract from the fact that the FBI had a terrorist in custody that they knew wanted to fly a plane into the WTC and did nothing fail us?

Murder Investigation - 'Hey guys we've arrested 10 people.'
Murder Investigation Closes - 'We're not arresting anyone else.'
Press - 'So...there were no murders?'

We have literally heard Trump doing terrible things for the past 2 years. 40% of the country will not give a sh**t. You needed him indicted for something to actually change. Be serious this was a large nothingburger which will probably hurt the democrats in the short term.

More looting has occurred by the President’s own cabinet since the Harding Administration. The president also actively espouses violence, implicitly and explicitly, should he be latched away from power. What kind of stuff are you hitting for you to conclude anything otherwise?

LOL no.

Murder Investigation found people guilty of robbery, not murder.

It depends on what the full 'report' actually says; it could still be very damaging politically.

I think the point is that people have come to expect it from the White House.

Regardless, I was always told that Trump and his family would be indicted for treason.

You know Mueller indicted a whole bunch of Russian operatives for interfering in the election, right?
