I imagine this is something that people here have pretty strong opinions on, but I don't think I've seen this question asked. What are your favorite and least favorite think tanks and why?

Eh most are FFs.

I'm partial to CATO, AEI, Reason, Von Mises, Mercatus, etc.

Only one I dislike is the CFR because of their weird ties to globalism and conspiracy.

Really the only think tank I follow is the Center for Strategic International Studies. It is far too interventionist and apologizing for our current world behavior to me, even if it disregards the current policy of Chaos.

The one Thinktank I most hate is the Von Mises Institute.

As a general "thing" the think tank industry represents a lot of what is rotten about modern democracy.

They’re all terrible besides Von Misses, but even they are still boring as hell and don’t even get CSPAN III coverage on a Sunday afternoon lol.

The only one I “follow” is CSIS, which I like, though it’s a bit liberal internationalist for my tastes. I’ve read a few Rand studies.

I reject the very notion of think tanks.

Center for American Progress is keeping the American spirit alive by fighting fascists forces who are damaging the reputation of our nation.

The Heritage Foundation is one of the scummiest tanks just by virtually guiding the Republican Party policies.

My favorite is easily the Center for Economic and Policy Research.

There are so many bad ones, so it's hard to choose a least favorite. Off the top of my head, Cato Institute, Heritage Foundation, and American Enterprise Institute are some of the worst.
