Really good song. I don't mind the video, but it shows once again that Germans still need to overcome their own Holocaust trauma. It's all becoming kind of stale. The manufactured outrage, the immediate Pavlov response by Jewish organizations, the attention drawn to it. A dose of PC in it as well, because Rammstein remain on the left.

In a sense Alexander Gauland was right: high time Germans start to focus more on their pre-1933 history and less on 1933-1945. Would be best for just about everyone, including Jews and Germany's neighbors.

According to the B.Z. article you posted, the video was criticized by former President of Central Council of Jews in Germany (2006-2010) Charlotte Knobloch. And she didn't compare the clip to necrophilia. That was, again according to that article, Jewish historian Michael Wolffsohn... although "desecration" would be a more accurate translation of his statement than "necrophilia".

Like many Rammstein music videos before it's totally overblown, provocative to the point of cringeworthiness, and despite its playful use of fascist aesthetics seemingly more left-wing than right-wing in its message. Nothing new here. The full-length video also includes the concentration camp scenes from the promo, but they only make up a brief portion of the overall clip. Other scenes refer to the communist regime of East Germany, the Middle Ages, Germania during the Roman Empire etc... it's basically 2,000 years of German history condensed into 10 minutes and performed by Rammstein.

On a more meta level, the promo fulfilled its purpose of course since we're talking about it here.
