What a night, two sweeps of two top teams - One of which I hate.  Vegas is rolling too. Blues and Jets continue to wear each other out.  All is good.

Seeing the Blues lose a 2-0 series lead makes me sick. The Blues better wake up Thursday if we want any shot of advancing!!!

Just a question:
Is Tampa Bay, the team with the best regular season record to be swept in the first round of the playoffs, in NHL history

(Meaning has there been a team with more points than them, who was swept in the first round)

Don’t follow hockey, but...did a 1 seed get swept in the first round? Is that more normal in hockey than in other sports? Because if not...lmao.

Yes, Tampa Bay, who won the President's Trophy (best regular season record/most points), was swept by Columbus, a wild card team

Yes, it's the first time the President's Trophy winner has been swept in the first round and only the 3rd time the President's Trophy winner has been swept period (the other teams were swept in the Stanley Cup Finals).

If the Leafs manage to beat Boston, but then get swept by Columbus, I will be so pissed.

That's what's going to happen. Then the Jackets will get steam-rolled by Trotz and the Isles.

Dallas is destroying Nashville 4-0 at the end of 1st period game 4. We so would have beat them in game 3 if Ben Bishop was not playing so badly last game.

The Blackhawks had the best record in the Campbell Conference in the 92-93 season, but didn't win the President's Trophy, and got swept by the Blues in the first round.  I was at the 4th game, 60 feet or so behind Belfour when the Blues won it in OT.

What a comeback by the Blues! Going into the 3rd, they were down 2-0 and came back to win it, with Jaden Schwartz's goal with 15 or so seconds left being the difference maker.

They can clinch a ticket to the 2nd round on Saturday night at Enterprise.

I saw they were down 2-0 going into the third and kind of assumed they were going to lose and was very happy to find out they managed to pull it out.  I hope I can figure out a way to watch tomorrow night.

Those last 43 seconds of the game were the longest 43 seconds of my life.

I want to say the Leafs take it in 6 at home, but I don't know. We might end up going to game 7 and losing again.

The Blues were 3-0 when I slept through the games, 1-1 when I paid attention to them online and 0-1 when I watched.  Clearly I'm cursed Smiley
