The Republican won the black vote?

Obviously I'm only talking about Democrat vs. Republican races, so if the GOP candidate was unopposed, or only faced a third party, that doesn't count.

I'd also be knowing when the last time this happened at the county or congressional level as well.

I thought I remembered reading that Huckabee won like 52% of the Black vote in one of his races?

Winthrop Rockefeller certainly did in 1966 and 1968.  Not sure about any since then.

He claims to have won 48% of the black vote in his first race, but that seems very unlikely based on the county results.

Thad Cochran in 1996 or Carroll Campbell (SC-Gov, he won 69-27 or something) in 1990 could be answers.
