A long read and history about two different type of suburbs in Cuyayoga OH. A Ethnic white Polish Obama Trump one and a mixed race super Obama/Clinton that trended D. I do wish they included a romney clinton burb. Doesn't really focus on the trends but does talk a bit about the class and what type of people live in each area.

I have noticed for a while now after looking 2016 and 2018 data. Democrats do better in "upper" middle-class suburbs. I think the best analogy is Democrats do better in Oakland County type suburbs and Republican do better in Macomb County type suburbs.

Thanks for sharing, I was born in Cuyahoga but didn’t grow up there. I have a better idea of where to stop by when I get a chance to visit.

Another analogy would be Orange County vs the Inland Empire. Or Eastside King County vs Pierce County in the Seattle area.

Really good article. The author did a great job of showing some of the emerging cleavages in the suburbs between the two major parties.

This also highlights how much the educational divide between whites is a proxy indicative of deeper cultural issues that are tearing white America into irreconcilable tribes.
