Now that he's the first AZ Governor to win consecutive 4-year terms for the first time since then-Governor Janet Napolitano (D), what do you see his political future looking like ?

A.) Run for the United States Senate against Sinema in 2024

B.) AZ Governorship in 2026 IF the Dems somehow win it back in 2022

C.) Private Sector

He might take a shot at Sinema or challenge Mark Kelly in 2022, but I can't see him winning. Arizona will be a blue state by then.

If Kelly wins in 2020 and 2022 is a Dem midterm, I could see him going for Senate and winning, with a presidential run in 2028. If Kelly doesn't win, maybe going for president in 2024.

I disagree...if a Dem wins the White House in 2020, he'll be in easy position to win in the GOP wave midterm in 2022. If Trump gets reelected, yeah, he's done.

So he’ll be incapable of winning the same state he just won (by a 14% margin no less) because it will somehow become so hostile for him to win again in four years?
According to AtLaS lOgIc, yes.

If a Dem wins in 2020, he could run against Kelly (if he won too) in 2020. He would probably win, but it could go either way. Kelly seems like a good candidate. After that, he could run for president or just stay in the Senate as long as he can.

If Trump is re-elected, he is in a much tougher spot if he wants to continue his political career.

Not necessarily saying Ducey is guaranteed to lose a Safe D election but, like, are you really arguing that this is impossible? Blanche went from +12 to -18 in six years, Ed Gillespie went from -1 to -9 in three years, Ike Skelton went from +31 to -5 in two years, etc. Ducey losing is definitely not out of the realm of possibility considering rapidly diverging political parties + rapid demographic change (+ realignment).

While I'm not sure about a presidential run for Ducey, I do think Mark Kelly will win the senate race in 2020, and Ducey will then run against Kelly in 2022. Republicans will definitely try to recruit Ducey for Senate in this case, I imagine

If McSally wins in 2020

Probably starts some nonprofit organization and challenges Sinema in 2024

If McSally loses in 2020

Runs for Senate in 2022, if he loses this, he runs against Sinema in 2024

If he loses to Sinema, he becomes a lobbyist
