They didnt do the poll though. Its like how the Fox News poll is held in high regard.

Exactly.  Biases of the sponsoring organization do not necessarily influence polls the commission.  Fox News is a great example of this.  The organization clearly has a conservative bias but their polls are very good.  (For some organizations the results are biased, of course; McLaughlin is probably the worst offender in this category.)  

But some conservatives have a knee-jerk response to "Daily Kos" and assume anything associated with it is automatically tainted with a libruhl bias and therefore garbage.  The same (incorrect) response from conservatives often occurs with PPP.  The owner is a liberal, but their polling is quite good and exhibits very little bias in either direction (using 538's metrics to judge this).

All this poll tells us is that the prez race is tightening and Trump still probably is gonna lose, but not by a landslide. He will still have trouble in the 279 states, due to the way the House and Senate maps are lined up against the GOP.
