I hope Houston has a chance against Golden State. I don't enjoy watching dynasty teams win again, and I really don't like watching a team from the ultra-wealthy Bay Area - a region enjoying nothing but success and victory for the past 30 years - winning.
Uh, what. When I started watching Bay Area sports in the mid 2000s pretty much all the teams sucked. Recent success in the last 10 years has been the Giants who appear to be done with 3 titles in 5 years and the Warriors who started winning in 2015.
When I say "success and victory" I'm not talking about sports. You have Google, Apple, Twitter, and more.
I find it interesting because I always felt like the Golden State vs. Cleveland series was a great narrative for sports, culture, and economics in the current US. And how did it ultimately end? The rich got richer and the King moved his seat from the blue-collar heartland to the rich and powerful city on the coast. There's few better ways to encapsulate of narrative of today's America.
