What would the electoral map have looked like in 2008 if Hillary won the nomination and tapped Obama as VP? I recall that actually being a strong possibility at the time of the primaries. Would the ticket have won the now Titanium R states of WV, AR and KY? Would she have done worse than Obama outside of Appalachia? I’m curious as to what y’all think. Also what would 2012 look like? And 2016, assuming Obama runs then?

Since we are doing inpossible things now

Barack Obama/Hillary Clinton (D) 538 EV's 99% PV

Vladimir Zhirinovsky/Lyndon LaRouche (R) 0 EV's 0 PV
Others 1% PV

No but in all seriousness Clinton's southren roots might help Obama in an advantage in the south

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) / Governor Sarah Palin (R-AK)
Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) / Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) ✓

A stronger ticket overall.

Landslide, more of one than the actual 2008.

swamiG’s map seems about right, give or take Montana and Indiana.
