For me personally, it would be Oklahoma.

Overwhelmingly conservative, heavy fundamentalist Christian presence, tornadoes out the wazoo, mostly flat and boring landscape, far away from other regional hubs of interest, and its two largest cities are blandvilles with notoriously underwhelming offerings for cultural amenities (particularly Oklahoma City). It's like the state was handcrafted to be as unappealing as possible for me.
