Nixon literally went over the sitting president's head to communicate with a hostile foreign adversary in order to prolong a conflict so he could win an election. Worst president ever, surpassed only by Buchanan (maybe).

Well considering the fact that this is meant for unpopular takes, that is a really good one

Needlessly extended a war he had no intention of actually “winning”; used federal reserve policy to adverse effect for the simple goal of winning re-election on unsustainable economic policies; oversaw a surge of Soviet activity and successes in the Third World with a few exceptions.

What’s that leave us with? Some environmental and CJ legislation?

Which would have been done by almost anyone in his position and time.

McGovern maybe, assuming his views remained the same as in 1972. Not Dukakis though.

Agreed. McGovern was an interesting person with an interesting story. His problem was just he was too liberal.

Dukakis, while clearly a good man, was too bland and uncharismatic. He wouldn't only have lost to Bush in 1988, he would have also lost against Dole and Kemp had they been the nominee that year too, at the very least.

And I think Dukakis would struggle even today.

I disagree, otherwise Shalala would be the focus.

Marxism is just like Plato's Cave except that when you step out of the cave to experience a higher level of consciousness it's all dark except for some weirdo with a floodlight complaining about the bourgies.

I don’t think Bill Clinton raped Juanita Broaddrick solely because Juanita doesn’t act like a rape victim at all. When she showed up at Trump’s side when the Hollywood Access taped dropped I could understand it to a degree but she and Paula Jones have made a habit of being shields for Republicans who get in trouble. They showed up constantly on Fox during the Roy Moore scandal to make whataboutism case. Hell Juanita even made fun of E. Jean Carroll’s looks on Twitter when she made her allegation against Trump. Granted not all victims act and think the same but I have never seen a legitimate rape victim try to use the fact they never got justice to be used as a shield for another alleged sexual predator. Heck they even have been on Fox recently to make the argument that their cases mean the whistleblower should be outed

Two weeks removed from Halloween so I think I can do this one:

"Classic" Halloween movies tend to be very overrated due to nostalgia. In particular The Nightmare Before Christmas is a textbook example of a movie whose premise and character design is way better than the mediocre movie itself. Hocus Pocus as well, a movie that in recent years has become a staple being played at every elder Millennial's Halloween party is without nostalgia probably about as entertaining for anyone over 12 as most Disney Channel original movies, although it has some redeeming elements like the impressively over the top performances all three actresses playing the witches gave (Bette Midler called it her favorite role) and the impressively high amount of sexual references they managed to sneak into a kids' movie.

Also this may not be a hot, bad or unpopular take but Family Guy's take on The Nightmare Before Christmas is not only amazingly dead on its probably in the top 10 gags the show has ever done:

On a related note, what Bill did to Monica back in the 90's wasn't rape even though she phrases it as such.

Also, that dress should be in the Bill Clinton Presidential Library.
