No. I don't claim to be enlightened (my name is purely a joke), and I also do not claim to be a genius or posses a "vast intellect". I am of average intelligence at best.
So the woman who sometimes preaches at my church who holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology is of significantly higher intelligence than you I'd wager.

Most likely, yes.

24 is better to watch than Game of Thrones

Arrow is better than The Flash

Game of Thrones has dumbed down its writing in an apparent effort to become 24, so maybe you'd like it more now.

24 is probably the most addicting show I have ever seen

My parents and I finished two seasons of 24 within 8 days lol

I saw and enjoyed the first season of 24, but the time investment was too much, plus I really hated the main character's wife and daughter.

It only gets better as Season 4 and 5 is the Peak of the Show though

Thats a sane and correct take.

Not sure if this is hot, bad, or unpopular, but the 2020 election is a pure tossup*, and anyone who says either side is heavily favored to win is allowing their partisanship to get in the way of the facts.

*as of right now, this could and probably will change once we have an official D nominee.

Trump's ceiling is 326 electoral votes (2016 plus MN, NH, NV) and the democrats ceiling is 318 (2016 plus WI, MI, PA, FL, and AR) and if there is a huge third party that splits with Trump, maybe 324 (UT). That means I think Trump's absolute floor is 214, and the democrats floor is 212

Bicycles are for children too young for a license, and their use by well-off adults as a primary means of transportation is a sign of softness and social decay. This applies to the general decline in driving as well.

1. I thought you were an environmentalist;
2. I don’t see a good reason to start paying a bunch of parking fees to liberal bureaucrats (to finance downtown development of all things) just because someone’s idea of masculinity involves less exercise. (That said, my bike is a distant second at best in terms of transport)

Private lawyers should be abolished.

I consider myself a capitalist who believes in markets, but it's a failure of the justice system if you can pay more money for a more experienced lawyer and therefore have a higher chance of winning a case. The rule of law should not be a pay-to-play system.

Its completely impossible for an incumbent president to improve their performance from their initial election to their run for re-election regardless of the circumstances due to how high political polarization is, and it will remain as such for some decades into the future.

Joe Biden will announce between now and May of 2020 that he will not seek re-election if he becomes president.

Yes, I can't even imagine a scenario where Trump gets a single electoral vote more than he did in 2016 Roll Eyes

I don't like it when they count seasons more than one per year.  Makes me feel really old.

The Little Mermaid wasn't the best children's movie of 1989.

I support compulsory voting but only for people at least 16 years old and less than 48 years old. Higher turnout for younger people provides a clear benefit to democracy, but higher turnout for older people provides a more mixed cost and benefit result for democracy.

That's a very hot take. We get bad enough results as it is, when only the people who pay attention to politics vote. Imagine how much worse things would be if you added millions more uninformed apolitical whackjobs to the mix.

I always find compulsory voting proposals quaint since most people don't understand politics and forcing them to vote will just make them resent voting.

-Netflix should have ads (not necessarily a whole lot, maybe just one before a show and a brief one in the middle), otherwise the quality of its original programming will suffer in the long run.

-When someone argues that people like Le Pen, Wilders, et. al. are basically just social democrats who want to clamp down on immigration, and that they are in any way, shape or form progressive on economic issues or good for the working class, they have just proven that they are a totally ignorant moron not worth taking seriously at all. This is seriously just as wrong and inaccurate as arguing that the Democrats would be a far right party in any European country or that type of nonsense.

-Lesbians and bi women usually have better taste in women than straight men.

If you consider losing by ~15% to be a competitive race, then I would agree.

Casting Couch =/= Rape. She agrees to have sex with the man regardless of what happens next.

It's still awful, though.
