George H.W Bush was not a "noble" or "reasonable" man, and in fact he pursued the same pro-rich, anti-black policies that Dubya and Reagan did.

For supposedly being a more liberal and tolerant forum, Atlas is fairly Islamophobic,

Holy sh!t look at BRTD throw down on that thread lol
"Negative. False religion, pedophile and murderer for a founder and continues to repress women and gays. Also bans alcohol consumption, that alone equals negative even if the rest was disregarded." BRTD  April 14, 2010

That certainly doesn't sound like something someone who's "all liberal, all the time" would say... is BRTD a fraud?!

What's non-liberal about that statement?

It's vastly overgeneralizing and stereotypical starters. Indian Flute inability to discern differences between practices and beliefs of second generation Muslims in Suburban Portland versus lobbyist in Saudi Arabia is quintessentially anti-liberal.

And incidentally, I'm a convert from Catholicism to protestantism, and your attitude towards Catholicism smacks of bigotry as well.

The question wasn't "opinion of Muslims" though, it was "opinion of Islam".

I don't see how I'm "bigoted" toward "Catholicism" anymore than I'm "bigoted" toward the Republican Party. Both are organizations where membership is a voluntary association and promote a harmful agenda I oppose.

Most charities and ngos are completely ineffectual and only operate as a jobs creation device for the middle class.

You can't be "bigoted" against an organization. It's also not bigotry to oppose the Republican Party, Democratic Party, Southern Baptist Convention, NARAL, the NRA, etc.

So you're going to excuse the poster writing "main contributions"?  It's pretty evident that the poster's opinions extend beyond the Church itself.  Point #1 is evidence of that, as the poster portrays pro-life Catholics, who cite faith as their reasons for opposing abortions, as purposefully making women suffer.  Point #3 claims that the Catholic Church and, therefore, Catholics actively seek to establish schools that promote racism, a gross and disgusting claim to make.

You can oppose the ideals of an organization, yes (though it's laughable that you included four non-religious or non-ethnic-based organizations up there to make your point), but when you claim that the Roman Catholic Church has only primarily done three terrible things in America, you are, in essence, tying the faith to those who practice it and are accusing all of those who follow the Church of carrying out these things or supporting them (two of which, Points #1 and #3, are not accurate and blatant attempts to call Catholics abusers of women and promoters of racism).

Please do not support absolute trash and bigotry like that post's content and then attempt to defend it by saying "But he was only attacking the institution, not the people!!!"  Furthermore, the fact that you agree with his post in its entirety, that the MAIN CONTRIBUTIONS of the Church are those three points, even if you are only referring to the Church, is certainly telling.

BRTD has always publicly hated Catholics, you see. He has revealed nothing that he didn't first reveal more than a decade ago when hating on every Catholic nation.

His campaign definitely took help from Russia, but Russia did not actually rig the election. Still, such should be an impeachable offence, let alone the obvious obstruction of justice, and it's sad that we have reached such partisanship as a country and as a party that freaking Justin Amash is the only one with the balls to speak the truth. I could care less about further "polarization", a crime is a crime and just because I agree with the president on policy doesn't mean I think he's a crook.

Ofc, Saban is probably the only person who could win election as a Democrat in Alabama lol

Obviously I'd oppose it.  The question is, and always was, nonsensical conspiracy babble.  Trump's not going to start a coup, and I really dislike all the Democrats trying to imagine this into existence.  It's like there's something in the heads of liberals that secretly wants a coup to happen so they can ride in like heros just in time to depose the evil dictator.  You guys want some sort of Fidel Castro moment.  People that constantly think the worst in others are the type of people that will do the worst.

I am in 100% agreement with this and only wished I’d had been able to articulate this myself. Most of the Clinton-ite/#Resist wing of the Democratic Party want to play the part of revolutionary while not making any of the sacrifices that they expect from the proletariat, whom they hold great disdain for.

The Bernie wing (think of people like Averroes, Jfern) meanwhile can stand to hear opposing opinions because they don’t want to exercise their own privilege as much as they want to genuinely extend such societal privileges to others.

Lyndon Johnson was a horrible president as he quite possibly made the worst set of foreign policy choices ever by any US President in the history of the Country.

The deep state is actually out to get neocons that's why the lamestream media tries to make us think that the deep state are neocons to trick us so we don't realize socialists and communitarians are the actual deep state.

Not even all of his foreign policy was a disaster. Detente slowly started under the Johnson Administration and the Non-Proliferation Treaty was approved under his watch.
