Lyndon Johnson was a horrible president as he quite possibly made the worst set of foreign policy choices ever by any US President in the history of the Country.

His foreign policy was indeed awful, but his domestic policies were some of the best and most progressive ever.

Not even all of his foreign policy was a disaster. Detente slowly started under the Johnson Administration and the Non-Proliferation Treaty was approved under his watch.
That doesn't even remotely begin to make up for Vietnam.

The United States did not have even the slightest bit of moral justification towards even giving South Vietnam any level of trade relations or diplomatic acknowledgement.

Johnson went all the way to the wrong side of the issue forcing massive numbers of Conscripts to fight for South Vietnam.

Thats easily the worst foreign policy choice made by any US President ever in the whole history of the Country.

krazen was a 100% worthless poster completely undeserving of his fandom and his banning did not negatively impact the forum in any way.

I think this is literally the only time I've seen him mentioned since he was banned.

I didn't even know he was banned

With the exception of bbq flavor, baked lays taste miles better than regular lays. Also fritos are nasty.

Probably not that hot of a take, but Atlas has considerably moved to the right in recent years. Anybody who's still calling Atlas a "liberal echochamber" unironically in 2019 needs to get a grip.

It's still a leftist dominated site, but I will say we have been seeing more right wing posters here over the past few months. Hopefully we can get a balance here someday, which I don't think we have had since like 2007.

Nick Saban would do better than Doug Jones even as a democrat.

Is this controversial? As the Democratic nominee, he would probably win any election in Alabama against any Republican, assuming he didn't gaffe away on the hot-button wedge issues.

The "*state* more Democratic/Republican than *state*" and "*candidate*/*candidate*/*candidate* voter" display names are currently the worst thing about the forum. In fact they're so dumb and obnoxious I'd be perfectly fine with the mods flat out banning them.

Idk just thought saying he would do better than an incumbent would be controversial.

The difference is that there didn't used to really be constant arguing about how terrible the other side was across several subforums, which is obviously going to make the clearly existent "liberal majority" seem more prevalent even if it shrinks.

And incidentally, I'm a convert from Catholicism to protestantism, and your attitude towards Catholicism smacks of bigotry as well.

When I wrote this, you put it in the Absurd posts mine....

Citation?

You can't be "bigoted" against an organization. It's also not bigotry to oppose the Republican Party, Democratic Party, Southern Baptist Convention, NARAL, the NRA, etc.

So you're going to excuse the poster writing "main contributions"?  It's pretty evident that the poster's opinions extend beyond the Church itself.  Point #1 is evidence of that, as the poster portrays pro-life Catholics, who cite faith as their reasons for opposing abortions, as purposefully making women suffer.  Point #3 claims that the Catholic Church and, therefore, Catholics actively seek to establish schools that promote racism, a gross and disgusting claim to make.

You can oppose the ideals of an organization, yes (though it's laughable that you included four non-religious or non-ethnic-based organizations up there to make your point), but when you claim that the Roman Catholic Church has only primarily done three terrible things in America, you are, in essence, tying the faith to those who practice it and are accusing all of those who follow the Church of carrying out these things or supporting them (two of which, Points #1 and #3, are not accurate and blatant attempts to call Catholics abusers of women and promoters of racism).

Please do not support absolute trash and bigotry like that post's content and then attempt to defend it by saying "But he was only attacking the institution, not the people!!!"  Furthermore, the fact that you agree with his post in its entirety, that the MAIN CONTRIBUTIONS of the Church are those three points, even if you are only referring to the Church, is certainly telling.

BRTD has always publicly hated Catholics, you see. He has revealed nothing that he didn't first reveal more than a decade ago when hating on every Catholic nation.

You misunderstood. You made the post in question in the ignorant posts thread as an aside about B RTD being anti-catholic to the verge of bigotry. I empty quoted you in the thread not because I thought it an ignorant post, but because I agree wholeheartedly.

I'm not talking about modern Fall Out Boy! Like Miley Cyrus is better than that sh**t yes. I'm talking about the album's that produced classics like this:

Also Dance, Dance is the exception. That song is trash.

And I already have Jesus. Smiley

I guess even when like the same band, we don't like the same songs. What a shame.
