Opposing at least some level of reform to the US Senate as is is not just wrong, its also racist as the US Senate in its current form structurally entrenches systematic disenfranchisement of minority racial groups.

Minority Republicans are infinitely more irritating than straight male wasp Republicans.

I saw a Black man with a TRUMP hat on the train to class yesterday ... would you have done him the favor of educating him and letting him now how infuriating he is to a White kid from Texas? Smiley

BLM and the Ferguson riots are what really sped up the WWC movement to Trump

They did...

but BLM and Ferguson rioters have some damn good points.

Though I oppose their tactics.

Oh they did I’m not saying what I did as a condemnation I’m saying that is probably a big factor in why WWC went MAGA but is not covered at all by the press (probably because they’re afraid of what they’ll find)

SInce the 2020 rock Hall class has been announced, and given what I said about George Harrison being undeserving, let's take a look:

The Notorious B.I.G. deserves it more than George Harrison
Whitney Houston deserves it more than George Harrison
T. Rex deserve it more than George Harrison
Depeche Mode deserve it more than George Harrison
Nine Inch Nails deserve it more than George Harrison

The Doobie Brothers....well, I'm split on Harrison vs. Doobie Brothers. Anyone willing to bat for the Doobies?

BLM is 100% right on police brutality and I hate the bootlicking "Blue Lives Matter" people. But I wish they'd chosen a better mascot for their movement than Michael Brown, who'd committed a robbery earlier in the evening. The whole "hands up, don't shoot" thing was repeatedly disproven and Brown wasn't shot in the back. When I compare this chain of events to Trayvon Martin, Philando Castile, or Eric Garner, I really start to wonder why Brown became the symbol of the movement.

That is true, but Lennon deserves enshrinment. His solo career was far more impactful and infulential than Harrison's.

No, but neither is most of Harrison's material.

Yup. And I have been accused by some of being on the side of the system in those instances. Which is BS. I just do not like violent protests. Heck, I got as far as to supporting fines and infractions correlated to income.

Some of the tactics of BLM make me so angry that I feel like banging my head against the wall and rolling around on the grass. They make themselves look insane while advocating for what is right!

The degree to which anti-Chinese bigotry contributes to some Western discourse about China is under-discussed.

Time to piss off literally everyone: Bernie Sanders is an egomaniacal jackass with a significant sect of supporters who are absolute psychopaths, but he's still better than out-of-touch old racist Joe Biden.

Gamergate caused Trump and the alt-right. Almost all the mythology and tactics that young reactionary white men on social preach and use got started with that event.

Younger middle-class Americans in large, expensive metros are already living under something that they experience like "fully-automated luxury communism."

It's one in which no one outside of an exclusive upper class can afford to own anything, but the middle class retains access to ample creature comforts, as long as they can pay for them by the minute over some gizmo and don't think too hard about how these amenities depend on a large supply of precarious, under-compensated, and invisible labor.

Even the dreams of those who radicalize cannot escape from this ideal.

Roe v Wade overturn in the summer of 2020 is inevitable, and anyone who thinks otherwise is just engaging in wishful thinking.

Yes, such a totally reasonable action to take in an election year without a solid majority on the court.

Doing that the summer before an election would be a sure-fire way to get a somewhat lethargic Dem base off the charts fired up. Don't think there's any way Trump wins if Roe goes down months before the election.

Why hate George Harrison? It was Lennon who was the biggest douche of ‘em all.

Imagine and Plastic Ono Band are pretty legit (most the lame MOR classic rock guys in the hall haven't done anything close to that good) and Instant Karma is one of the best songs ever.

The gospel according to Mark is the most interesting read of the four gospels from a literary standpoint. Jesus doesn’t come off as divine as in the other 3 so when it’s revealed he comes back from the dead it’s treated as this big shocking reveal. So from a pure reading standpoint you’d actually feel more at stake when goes into his passion

This isn't that uncommon a take. Luke is the fan-favorite Gospel (so to speak) but all four of them do have their partisans, and plenty of people do like Mark best for this reason.

I have personally observed most devout Christians tend to like John best.

Jordan Peterson is almost incredibly misunderstood (and more likely intentionally misrepresented), and he very clearly is not a member of the Alt Right.  He’s a kind, thoughtful world class thinker who’s passionate about a variety of issues that have nothing to do with politics, and he’s awesome.

Well, he can definitely be very sophistic and trolly so I don't "like" him, but he is not alt-right or a bigot. I would guess he has typical center-left political views.

Although it is extremely unlikely to happen, I want Trump to win the popular vote and lose the Electoral College.  That, as things stand, is the only way to get Republicans to sign onto the NPVIC.

It would just be hilarious to watch Fox and all the right wing pundits do a 180 and suddenly hate the EC and think it's so unfair.

The various institutions that collect "racial information" - if they insist on continuing to collect "racial information" - should completely abandon the historically retarded term of "White" (and even more so, "Caucasian") and move everything toward a more historically literate classification that takes into account thousands of years' worth of culture.  Any system that considers a Muslim from Tunisia to be in a "non-minority" racial category while a Spaniard with blonde hair and blue eyes is in his or her own "Hispanic" category is just dumb.  Do it by pan-ethnic groups (e.g., "Indo European" or even just "European descent"), or don't do it at all.  We literally made up "White" and have shoe-horned in the diverse peoples of the world into our category after the fact, and it's a joke.

I know I was dissing Geroge Harrison earlier, so let me priase someone:

Bon Jovi deserved their induction. This is unpopular because they usually rank near the bottom (unjustly) when attempting to rank all 200+ acts, but you try having hits in four different decades, defining an era, and outlasting a movement that should have ended your career. Bon Jovi defined the 1980's landscape and contined to have a creer beyond that. Goerge Harrison did barely anything after 1971.

Bon Jovi > George Harrison.
